I think it's 25% for worst, 19.9 for 2nd, 15 something for 3rd

With a Caps playoff game and Strasburg pitching a home game(which is where I was), did anyone in D.C. actually watch this garbagefest of a team actually win a game?

I guess now that we have the 2nd worst record on lock we might as well win a few. I'm hoping we can drop 100+ though for some cheap pizzas...

I don't think anyone thought Washington would catch Charlotte. The issue was whether New Orleans would catch Washington, leaving the Wizards with 3rd worst record and a smaller chance at #1.

i watched the wiz because the caps suck and nobody in DC grew up on hockey i can guarantee that. baseball is almost unwatchable. most people from this city are redskins first > wizards second.

i'd rather watch wizards in their worst season over a caps or nats game

I don't think I'd go that far but I appreciate the sentiment.

Seraphin may be the 3rd best player from the 2010 draft

As hard as it is to admit lets give Ernie some credit in bringing Kevin seraphin to the Washington wizards. Nene,Wall, booker, Jan and Kevin sounds like a nice core guys. And add a few draft picks. Starting to look a little better for wizards.

Not to mention Vesely has a bit of hustle and basketball IQ to his game that is making him look more and more like a decent NBA player.

dlts20 wrote:Ive been calling all year for Mo to play. If you arent going to let JV start at the 3 then Ive always said it should be Mo. He's way way way better than Singelton. I wouldnt be upset if Witt was only doing that to purposley tank or to help the future but he's not. He wants to win as much as he can so he can keep his job.

Not only that but even though Singelton is a rookie, he's clearly not part of our young core. Therefore how does he start every single game? We wouldve been alot better this year with Mo starting there. I think he does every single thing better, espically his jumper. Singelton has the size but Mo is tough and makes up for it by being a vet. I just dont get how he's been benched all year for him.

Again, I could understand if you played JV over him. Weather you think JV is better or not, he needs to play because he's a high pick. I could understand if you played Singelton over him because you thought Mo might help you win and you dont wanna do that but Witt does wanna win. Not only that but I think he couldve helped Wall a ton. I dont get it but whatever.

PS- Seraphin is that dude

Designed Tanking. That is the only explanation. They did a great job doing it. They got the 2nd slot and keep Mo around as a teacher. I heard when he is done playing he is heading up to the front office. And the designed tank gets you another top 5 pick.

This front office has done a great job since they hit the reset button two years ago. They stuck to the plan. Jes is going to be a really nice piece once he gets a summer to work on this shot. Wall needs a shooting coach. Ves has better form then wall does but then again, Ves isn't jumping. Wall just needs to learn to shot at the top.. not on the way down. Wall plus a shot is going to be really good.

And Keveen. Wow. In stead of only having 2 pieces and looking to draft a 3rd, KS is making a strong case for... we have 3 pieces and we are looking draft a 4th. I posted this recently in the EG thread. Ves and KS are keepers. Ves will prove to be a good value at 6th. I've seen all I have needed to see to know the kid has game and that he is going to be really good. But I have been saying that for a while now. Ves haters are going to be proven way wrong.

I agree with you on the Skins part, but no way on the Wiz. Sorry bro but this franchise has fallen completely into irrelevant status. D.C. is for the most part a bandwagon area and with the Caps being a year in, year out playoff contender and the Nats on the rise, the Wiz are dead last in the area. Hell I bet D.C. United is more popular then they are.

Second part, I used to agree with you but the Nats have grown on me the last couple of years. They got a damn good team this year. As far as the Caps go, not a big hockey fan myself but I do watch the playoffs, and overall support for the Caps is way higher than the Wiz right now.

Mea Culpa to EG .................. Seraphon is a good ball player............. Vesely is a baller too ..... when VES, Wall and Singleton use the off-season to work on their outside shots ( as James Singleton has done)
we should be a very good team next year.

Vesley has alot of potential. He has high IQ...great hands...amazing basketball instincts.... If he developed any kind of consistent offense like KS, he is a starting player on a championship team.

I would have agreed with you 2 years ago but I've really gotten into the caps lately. I can't speak for everyone but it seems like a game you grow to love and maybe not something you are immediately addicted to.

The kid works hard on his game so you have to think he will stay a quality contributor.

So nice to finally have a post player. And we also have Nene who if you noticed was in uni so he is probably coming back next game. Thats not a bad one two punch. Ves has done well with the minutes he has gotten so the three of them together will be better now then when Nene last played. And how about Cook. He is proving to be a decent end of the bench big. Dude played great tonight.

Not exactly sure were Keveens game will end up. For that it is to early. You can count on him getting more double teams but he seems to be a good passer. For now, I wouldn't worry about it. Just enjoy watching him grow.

I do a LOT of hating on John Wall. That said, if he can hit his jumper that dude will be quite an asset

Another EG player is short on height and athleticism, but he is big on competitive nature and that is Shelvin Mack. Without him tonight the Wizards would not have won this game. I loved seeing Wittman play Mack with Wall at the end.

Props to EG and Wittman for James Singleton, Cartier Martin, Mo Evans, and (eventually) Mo Almond.

Put this team with Nene and the Wizards have something.

That's my top three too. Haven't decided if Seraphin POTG or Evans (really clutch at the end). Seraphin kept them close throughout the game.

I agree. Mo was huge. Just when Chicago clamped down the defense and get a 10 pts lead, Mo took over. And the 2 FTs were clutch. I think I would give the nod to Mo. Crunch time is a lot harder to do then in the middle of the game.
