Al Jefferson played the best game of his entire career tonight. Not just his gaudy numbers. He played the most defense he's played all season -- including, quite notably, BOXING OUT!!!

This doesn't change my overall view of him, but credit where credit is due. Al Jefferson delivered time after time after time tonight. He was a monster in a game I will never forget as long as I live.

I agree and thats hard to do, What if the Mavs went small and Big Al had to guard Dirk... Disaster!

While a quick glimpse at Houston's schedule looks pretty friendly with 2 games vs NO, the Hornets have been hot since Eric Gordon's return. I think they are 5-2. Also games at Dallas and Miami.

Phoenix's schedule looks BRUTAL!

Utah's schedule looks like cake by comparison, 3 homes games versus Phoenix, Orlando (without Howard), and Portland (no Aldridge) and another game versus Portland on the road.

I think this victory is a big confidence changer like the 4OT loss to Atlanta. Hope their attitude changes for the better!

I totally would have turned around and cold cocked him Kermit Washington style. I guess that is why I don't play sports anymore... and the fact that I am getting old and out of shape quick may have a part in it too.

Utah might have just killed the Mavs. Old man Dirk has played 96 minutes in 2 days losing both games.
