I do not know where is this coming from.
Supposedly, Pat Riley will shake up the Heat's Roster even if they win or not. I do not have any sources about this but I was told from a friend today. Do you any of you guys have better insight on this?

First of all, you have to improve at all times. You can't just go as is next year with the same pieces and think that no one else is going to get better.
Second, Arison is probably on Riley's ear about the salary cap and luxury tax. Arison is good to us, but we can't expect him to pay the hefty fees that the luxury tax requires.

So you're saying something will happen but have no sources on to how you would know that but you're friend told you? Does your friend work for the daily bugal?
But I could see some bigger signings next year
Andre Miller or Nash vet min, Camby vet min, Allen/Beasley split MLE
Miller, Amnesty. Don't bring back Howard, Curry, Jones, and someone else.

One of the Big 3 is going to be sent packing, most likely not this offseason but next year for sure.
If we don't win a championship this year then it's pretty much a wrap one will leave.

Is your friend high up in the Heat organisation because if not this thread should never have been started.

BS thread, but i wouldnt be suprised. Riely sees our weakness in the front court and he knows how crucial it is to have a strong front-court in order to succeed in the playoffs on a regular bases. he'll do anything to fix that besides moving Wade or Bron i believe.

It is unfortunate you're taking this foolishly. All I'm asking if anyone knows about this. I could have the same opinions as everyone else which I definitely concur.

it's Riley's job to look ahead two years. You should be worried if he doesn't make changes to the Heat's limited bench.

I doubt it. We'll amnesty Miller and trade assets such as Battier before we move one of our core pieces. A lack of production outside of the Big Three is our largest issue after all. As of right now, I don't trust anyone to produce on a consistent basis other than our stars, with Bosh being a little shaky as well. The fact that Spoelstra still hasn't found a set rotation is a result of this problem.

Re: I do not know where is this coming from.
I don't doubt it because we would lose depth. Trust me that if Morey calls and offers Scola and Dalembert for Bosh, Riley will definitely consider. We get deeper, and we get a legit center plus a solid forward. Not to mention, this will be a lot easier to deal with as far as luxury tax goes.
Morey wanted Bosh in Houston for a long time now and he recently wanted Gasol who happens to be a tier below Bosh.
If we win, I say there's a 90% chance we stay as is. But if we lose, I expect change, especially if we don't make it to the Finals.
I like Bosh but it is what it is, we can't be too loyal about these championship decisions, we need to get over the hump.

I'd take that deal 10/10 times tbh, no offense to any Bosh fans.

Glad that people are finally jumping on the Amnesty Miller bandwagon that I was being ridiculed for suggesting.
The problem is its too late now.
Even without Miller we're at 73 mil without cap holds or draft picks. It doesn't help us to amnesty Miller next year, we might as well keep him then.
The time to cut him and the 4 yrs 24 million on his contract was this offseason when we could have benefited.
Big misstep by the front office, as was giving him that contract in the first place. I'm not just saying that in hindsight, I've said it was a bad deal from the beginning. You don't give long deals to non-stars. Especially when they have little upside and on top of that they are injury prone.

I wasn't necessarily jumping on any bandwagon but just pointing it out as an option prior to trading one ofthe Big Three. I admit I was a little torn on him in the offseason and probably a little naive to believe he could play a good season for us and actually participate in at least 75-80% of our games. I do, however, agree that this deal wasn't a good one in the first place when the last position you need depth at is the wings. On a roster with limited financial flexibility, you have to get your priorities into order. I'm pretty sure we all thought we would have at least one of our gaps, either at PG or at C, filled by now.

Yeah I was pointing out that its not really an option this offseason. Unless I am off on the numbers (a possibility) we get absolutely no benefit from amnestying Miller. In that case it makes sense to just keep him.
If we had cut him this year we could have the full MLE and the BAE. If we cut him this year we don't get anything extra. Unless you think we're getting someone better for the minimum as our last man on the bench then it makes sense to just keep him.

I completely forgot to address that point in my post. The uselessness of the Miller amnesty is a huge setback for us in case we don't win a championship this year. It'll be difficult to find better talent at C or PG with a three million MLE, particularly at C, which would make a Bosh-trade more likely. It's funny how in arguably the greatest offseason in franchise history, the signings of two role players (Miller, Anthony) could potentially be extremely harmful.

Championship or not, one of the Big 3 is going bye bye within the next 2 years. Wade's untouchable so I wouldn't even throw his name into the mix.
IMO, if we lose this year then Bosh is getting traded. I have zero clue what Riley could get for him though. I also think it's pretty likely that LeBron ends up in Cleveland again at some point. Imagine him, Kyrie, and another lottery pick on the same team :O
But yeah, let's just get this ring to shut everyone up lol
