Re: Lottery Tracker
Should be a wild finish to the race for lottery position..
That last game in Toronto vs the Nets might decide spots 6-9
My guess is as follows
1) Charlotte
2) Washington
3) New Orleans
4) Sacramento
5) Cleveland
6) GS
7) New Jersey-Portland
8) Toronto
9) Detroit
10) Minnesota- New Orleans
11) Portland
12) Milwaukee
13) Utah
14) Phoenix

Man, there are like four teams there that are tied with 22 wins and each have 38 or 40 losses.

Barnes, but tbh neither.
Both are too similar to Batum.
We need someone who can make things happen. That's either a good PG that can get others involved (Dragic, Marshall) or an attacking SG (Gordon, Rivers or Beal although Beal is not nearly as aggressive as those other two).
Youre right they are a bit Batumish.. .
Speaking of Dragic, that guy is "fools gold"
or atleast I dont think hes been good, long
enough for the Blazers to blow a bunch of
resources/$$$ in getting him. Its going to
be extremely tough to do but whatever
the Blazers do, they need a game changer.

i agree im not so high on dragic he could just be pullin a felton with the good play this year and turn into a scrub the next, i dont think that will happen but i wouldnt be throwin more than midlevel money at him

I've said it before, but both suffer from the same lack of confidence/aggression that Batum does.
I would take Lamb though.
We need a better ball-handler at the 2 than Matthews. I don't think Lamb projects as good a defender as Wesley, but he is much more a typical 2 guard. Barnes is strictly a 3, and we have Batum at that position. Basically I think Lamb compliments Batum/Matthews on the wing much better than Barnes does (because of ball-handling skills).

Re: Lottery Tracker
Pistons are up by 30 on the Cavs in the 3rd, I think it's safe to say they're going to get the win.
Also word out of the Nets is that Williams is going to miss another game tomorrow.

Pistons up 50 now. I feel bad for Jamison... Oh wait, his +/- in this game is -47!! How is that possible?

Another game to watch is the Minnesota/Memphis game which the Grizzlies are
only up 2 in the third.

We've got to lose out if we have any chance at picking 10. All we need to
do is finish in a tie with the Wolves for they won the season series.

Not only do the Blazers have to lose out, but the Wolves have to win out for the two teams to tie.
You can convince me the Blazers will lose out, but there's no way the Wolves win out. They have been as terrible as ever since they lost Love.

Re: Lottery Tracker
Well, the Wolves came back to lose another game..
Unless we mess up and win more than 1 game, we should finish at 11 for the
Bucks also have the season series and we only need to finish in tie with them
to clinch the 11 position.
The battle for lottery positioning is fierce this season for the lottery teams all
seem to have shut down their star players for the rest of the season.

Re: Lottery Tracker
The Bucks final games have enough lottery teams to pretty much guarantee they'll finish with a better record than the Blazers. They have a game @ WAS, vs NJN, and vs TOR. Considering that they already have 1 win more than Portland, they shouldn't have a problem finishing with a better record.
All logical outcomes point to the Blazers being locked into that 11 spot.
It's that Nets pick that's going to be completely up in the air, likely until the final night of the season.

Re: Lottery Tracker
The Blazers will pick 11th, we can book it.
But that damn Nets pick is tough to figure. Assuming they don't win the lotto, with only 4 games left that pick could still land anywhere from 4th to 10th. Probably going to be a 3 or 4 way tiebreaking coin toss to settle things.

Yeah, it's going to be a total cluster-f with that Nets pick.

Philly up twenty entering the fourth, Washington up 8 entering the fourth, Miami up two at half, Atlanta up 30 in the third I think, Knicks up almost 20 at half.

Basketball-reference currently projects New Jersey to finish with the 6th worst record and Portland the 11th.

No real help for the Nets pick tonight, but since the Nets also lost, the pick wasn't hurt either.
