Good day for the Spain clubs. The Atletico-Hannover match next week should be really interesting.

Too bad about Schalke, but they had bad luck with their goalies - their #1 Fährmann is long term injured, their #2 Unnerstall was recently injured, their #3 Hildebrand started the game, but hurt his elbow and was replaced in the 2nd half by #4 Schober, who played very shakily. But maybe Hannover can pull off the upset.

My dark horse is AZ. What they lack in individual class they make up for in collective power.

La Liga is the worlds best this year. 5 teams out of 8 in Champions and Europa League semifinals. No other league has more than 1.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

Arda Turan played really well today. Falcao was brilliant as usual. Great game! Falcao now has 28 goals in 2 seasons in Europa

I can just see Falcao joining Chelsea and winning 3 Europa trophies with three different clubs.

I hope Sporting make the final. Wouldn't want to see an all Spanish final in both EUropean competitions.

I hope he joins Chelsea. That would be a perfect fit.

The Final is Athletic Bilbao-Atletico Madrid. Radamel Falcao vs. Fernando Llorente. I hope Athletic wins.

Bilbao seems like the better team from the few games I've seen.

They have an offense that would even look good on CL quarter final level.

Madrid does have some class up front as well but Bilbao's offense looks smoother.

^^I think Bilbao's midfield is better, but I'll take Falcao/Adrian/Arda over Bilbao's forwards

Does the winner of this get a spot in the Champions league?

That doesn't make any sense. I think winning the cup is more important than finishing 4th in some league.

EPL >>> Europa League.

Winning the Europa League isn't really a big deal because no one cares about it. I guess if they awarded a CL spot for winning it, more clubs would take it seriously.
