Embarrassment of a story, Silas should be fired immediately for shoving a player. Coaches can't push around players like that. TT should be embarrassed, but I actually applaud him for not pushing back.

I fire both Silases, and start with someone who can actually coach. Bring in Phil Jackson. He loves Michael, he can coach and motivate, and honestly, I'm sure he gets tired of the rap that he only can coach superstars and ready made teams. If he can get this team to the playoffs, it cements his legacy as the greatest coach of all time. He got through to Rodman and Artest, he can get through to TT. It would be his last chance with us here at least.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

i could be way off, but i would imagine that shoving matches between coaches and players happens more than we think, it just doesnt always get to media.

or at least like a coach pushing into the chest of a player with stiffened fingers, or getting in their faces, etc.

At least battery can't call Silas Mr. Roses anymore.

:o :x   :( This just goes to show you it's time for a change. Players, Coachs, Name
I don't think in 50 years of watching NBA/ABA ball that I have ever seen a bigger group of losers.
They have a long way to go. I'm suprised we haven't had fights between our own players /coachs on the floor let alone the locker room.
I'm sure MJ/Cho now will clean house.
I just hope they keep KW,Hendo, Mully, DJWhite UPS, RWill and BIZ
The rest of the players including the entire coaching staff and some front office/scouts need to go BYE BYE as soon as the season is over.
TT is a head case
DJA wants to play somewhere else-- either package on trade with TT or Carroll or let him walk as RFA.
Release Higgins.
Amensity Diop
USE Diaws/Najera Expiring to sign a FA "scorer" at 3
Trade Mags to contender.

I think you guys need to add some vets who have had success in the league as starters to help these young guys out. It's great to have potential on the team, but you need the guys in the locker room that won't let the downs drag your young guys too far down.

Diaw, S.Jackson, C.Megette, Najera, K.Brown, these were the vets that these young players are suppose to look for, for guidance?? Tyrus did well with Chandler in the locker room, in fact the Bobcats overall seemed to do well. I think people forget how important the locker room is, especially for younger players. This isn't a video game, you can't just grab a guy with talent and expect them to live up to it, an organization has to develop them, let the coach coach, let the vets help keep the young guy's heads on straight.

In Chicago Tyrus probably had the worst coaches a young player could have... Scott Skiles and Vinnie Del Negro. Scott Skiles wouldn't even talk to the players and Vinnie... Vinnie had to have John Paxson FORCE him to play Derrick Rose over Kurt Hinrich in 4th quarters to develop him. Lordy, Paxson was reported as to SHOVING Vinnie.

If you think Steve Nash, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Tim Duncan want to come mentor our kids tell them to come on. They are all welcome.

Why does it have to be a top player? It has to be someone the younger players can respect and had some success in the NBA, maybe they were over achievers, maybe they were a long term starter, maybe they just can get a younger player's attention and get them to listen. Off the top of my head... PJ Brown, Chandler(you guys had), J.Kidd, R.Allen, K.Thomas, D.Fisher, KG and so on... hearing someone bark at you and having a teammate that you respect are 2 different things.

I think people just don't realize how big of a difference a good locker room can make. A vet mentor is like having a coach who cares with your young players all the time when at the gym... pushing them lifting weights, pushing them working extra before or after practice. Telling them to not worry about the coach, keep playing hard and take advantage of what oppertunties you have.

I think some would(Vets who could help the young guys), not the higher profile guys, but some guys trying to hang on or wanting to make the transition into coaching. Chicago did that with Lindsey Hunter, we all knew he was done but he was always talking with the younger players, including D.Rose.

Now Hunter is returning that favor, giving back to the game, in Derrick Rose's ear as much as coach Vinny Del Negro -- offering pointers, cajoling, supporting.

"He never shuts up," Rose said, laughing. "He's the dad of the team. You don't want to get on his bad side."

Hunter, 38, takes his mentoring responsibility seriously, which is why the Bulls are expected to guarantee the veteran guard's non-guaranteed contract for the rest of the season before Saturday's deadline. That's even with the knowledge that Kirk Hinrich apparently is a month ahead of schedule in returning from thumb surgery and the team's glut of guards.

"He really enjoys helping the coaching staff," said Chicago-based Mark Bartelstein, Hunter's longtime agent. "That desire to help younger players is natural and genuine with Lindsey."

Some people are saying that about Jamison. Does Najera speak English well? If so he has an attitude that any player should have at this point in his career.

i agree 100% with air p, as i mentioned in the rebuilding thread.

this team severely lacked leadership this year. we need to add at least 3 vets next year, who have good leadership skills. they dont have to be great players, just great leaders and mentors.

bringing back najera would also help.
