Actually, that's a post game thread but I wanted to follow the pattern.

We clinched homecourt tonight. Yey :D

one more Pacer win or Atlanta loss clinches third. with Atlanta playing Boston tomorrow that could happen before our Saturday game which would be good because then we could get Lance and Fesenko some PT.

Good looking out.

Homecourt sounds great. I can't wait until the Fieldhouse comes back to life.

Sanders is a feisty one and Dunleavy is a covert dirty player.

I loved how Vogel only tried to restrain David, as if to say this is the guy who could snap. It's too bad we don't have a Dale Davis type anymore. I remember when he snatched one of the Knicks by the throat (ie.BigBen style). I don't advocate violence, but if it is warranted than so be it.

Sanders and Dunleavy both deserve to have the taste smacked out of their respective mouths.

Nah, it was evident that Sanders lost it. I wouldn't hold this too much against him. He does not strike me as an ass off court. On the other hand, Dunleavy was sooooo indifferent during the fight. He was almost hiding in our group of players.

Couldn't watch the game? What happened with the scuffle? Basically, it looks like Dunleavy has turned into a whiny tool and both of his incidents against us happened when he was Tyler. Wonder if there's some bad blood seeping back into last season?

It looks like twice he ran around and had a clear path to David West. He just stopped. Whether it was because he was afraid of West or afraid of a suspension, it was pretty clear the first time that all he was going to do was talk trash. Honestly, I think if nobody restrained anyone in the NBA we might have 2 fistfights a year and the rest would be guys running up bumping chests and each yelling to the other that he could open a can if he wanted to.

And I'm fine with that. I wouldn't want anyone to fight anyway.

From the looks of it, I could see Granger getting a one-game suspension. It didn't look like he swung or threw a punch, but was mainly trying to smack Sanders' hand away. Maybe Hill also for "escalating the situation."

Orlando seems the most likely, although if they lose the rest of their games and New york wins the rest of theirs, we'll be up against the Knicks. I don't the Knicks winning that much or Atlanta losing that much, so we'll be against a depleted Magic with no Howard.

Is it me or has Hill found better chemistry with West in 10 games than Collison had after 2 years?
He finds him a lot. :D

Larry Sanders has Skiles as coach, so that could explain why he snapped after getting ejected/fouling out.

I think I'd prefer Orlando in round one, since they're without Dwight. That's a team built around one player, much like Cleveland was around LeBron.

The Knicks are a bit worrisome. Anytime you have two great players like Carmelo and Amare, they can be worrisome. However, they've seemed like they play better with just one of those two, and not with both.

It's because Collison can't pass. West usually ignores him when Collison tries to explain what he did wrong.

As we continue to beat this dead horse until there's nothing left of it, I'll point out that we're comparing a player with 5.3 assists/48min and a 2.7 assist:turnover ratio to one with 7.3 assists/48min and a 2.66 assist:turnover ratio. I agree that it appears there are teams that Hill plays better with than Collison. I also think that we would miss Hill MORE than we would miss Collison should either be injured, but by no stretch of the imagination have I seen anything consistently from Collison that would indicate he can't pass. I'm beginning to believe that you have some tie to Lance and you just really want to see him play. It's the only reasonable explanation for why you would take an above-average point guard and make him sound like he couldn't compete in the D-League.

How is being one of the worst starters in the league above-average?

Easy. Most teams have 3 pg's. Even if you assume that some teams have backup PG's better than Darren (Houston, for example?), then if he's a starter, he's probably above what would be the median line as well as the overall average of ALL PG's. By definition, that would be above average.

Boom. That just happened.
