Hey Spo supporters..answer me these 3 questions

Post#1 » by RexBoyWonder » Sun Apr 22, 2012 2:28 am

1. Why did our best player in the first half (Dexter) played a total of ZERO, ZILCH, NADA, as in 0 minutes in the fourth quarter? was this another brilliant strategy or did he just totally forgot him on the bench? is this the right way to bring up our young players?

2. with 4.2 Sec left in the game and a foul to give - why didnt he tell his players to foul when Washington dribble the ball? since every **** children coach knows to do that, there is no chance he didnt even thought about that, right? i mean, he had a TO to talk to them..was this a brilliant not leting go of the rope tactic?

3. We usally give him a pass about not having any plays and hint that the big 3 love to ISO so it's not really his fault. after seeing a game when the big 3 are out and the last plays he "run" (desperate corner 3 by Cole, desperate drive by Mario) - is there a chance this guy is just totaly inept when it comes to coaching an offense in the NBA?

I swaer it looked like Washington were trying to tank at some portions of the game, but Spo is so clueless and has such little feel for the game that he tanked it right back. he OVERTANKED THE **** WIZARDS. that was one the most pathetic coaching jobs i can remember, and it a sigh to what's coming in the playoffs.
When i saw how they justGAVE UP A LAYUP WITH A FOUL TO GIVE after a FULL TO, with 4.2 SECONEDS LEFT IN THE GAME - truly disgusting coaching job.

And please, dont tell me that he/you didnt even want the #1 seed. unless u dont want HCA against OKC or Spurs either, which is probably **** now with this pathetic lose.

We should be able to get away with Spos bad decisions untill the ECF. Woodson and Vogel are **** coaches as well

that's the word, "uneasy' TO KNOW that your coach this late into the season CAN lose a game with a real chance and the players actually wanting this win. Those role players wanted this win.

We'll out-talent our way through most of the playoffs. If we run into the Spurs though - lookout!

One guy (Popovich) is playing chess, while the other (Erik) is playing checkers.

I hate when people mention Spo had good records with the Heat AFTER WADE CAME BACK AND DOMINATED EVERYONE. The defense was great, sure. Even today it was fine. But offense... it's great when you have a guy who was playing in what many called his MV3 year.

I got back from the hockey game in a hell of a good move then stupidly decided to watch that ugly ass Heat game. I could criticize Spo for playing the hell out of Lebron until we have a meaningful game and then sitting him, but I think that first point you bring up is something fundamentally wrong with his leadership style and deserves being discussed. What happened to Dex tonight is an example of why Spo is horrible at developing our young players and why none of our roleplayers develop into consistent contributors. Positive reinforcement is important. A player has to feel that how well he plays actually matters. To play the best half of your life then be benched for the second half is just a shot to the psyche. This is an obvious example, but you see it all the time with Spo and his unwillingness to go with the hot hand or adjust to a player trying to elevate his game. You see that crappy management style in not only sports. Someone can work their ass off at their job for a week and then their oblivious manager will make them work the weekend. Spo really does have the leadership ability of a shift manager at McDonalds.

Bingo. ALso the fact that he left Cole in there and ignored JJ who got us back into the game. Just hilarious.

Cole made 7 points a row, after crushing the team's spirit after they got back into it with his TO's and stupid shots.

not even mad at the loss, just Spo not playing the right people at the right time.

I bet even if my mom watched this game she would have said "PUT IN THE BLACK GUY WHO WAS SHOOTING 3'S EARLIER!!".

I bet Pimpwerx finds away to point out everything 'wrong' with your comment and draw attention to Spo adjusting to the Bulls' rebounding in the ECF last year LOL.

Didn't bother watching this game obviously.

But only 14 minutes for Dexter after he scores 12 points within that time?

Not fouling out with a foul to give though is a huge huge X on Spoeltra. This happened before in game 2 Finals.... Not going to forget that huge gaffe.

You guys are so ridiculous. Our most talented offensive player last night was Mike Miller, he of a 9ppg average of the last 4 years.

Guess what? When the almighty Spurs, with their genius coach Greg Poppovich and their offense you all lust after, rested Parker, Duncan, and Gino...they scored 84 points on 40% shooting. Boxscore here.

Our role players are great role players, but they're still just role players, and nothing is changing that. Mike Miller has been the same player for 4-5 years now. Shane Battier has been the same player his entire career. James Jones has been the same player his entire career. Ronny Turiaf has been the same player his entire career. Udonis Haslem has been the same player his entire career. LOL @ Joel as an offensive player. None of these guys are guys who can create offense, and aside from Miller, none of them ever have been, and Miller hasn't been that guy for a long time. That leaves Mario, Cole, and Pittman as guys who can create offense. Both Mario and Cole have been given a ton of time to figure things out at the pro level, in the case of Cole, probably too much time, so its pretty rich to read complaints about our young role players not getting enough burn, from the same people who angrily vent about Spo playing Cole too much.

So that leaves Pittman. And if that's really what your complaint boils down to, Spo is a bad coach because he doesn't play Dexter freakin Pittman enough, then LMAO at you. Mr 2 rebounds and 4 fouls in 14 minutes last night? That's who you're pining away for to match up with Nene in the middle? Really?

Fact is, Wizards had the two best players on the court last night in Wall and Nene. And that's not a big deal; we had 3 all-stars on the bench. But the idea that if only Spo was somehow a different coach, Miami would've been running up the score with a lineup of Chalmer-Harris-Miller-Haslem-Pittman or whatever is laughable. Get real. Whoever you think the best team in the league is, they struggle as much to score without their best players too. Chicago's offense has been the absolute pits in the last month, and that's only missing Rose. They still have Deng and Boozer, both better offensive players than anyone Miami put on the floor last night. But Thibs is a great coach. Check the link for what the Spurs look like without their top flight talent; same as Miami. That's with Popp, HOF coach.

The only person allowed to make mistakes but still play is Norris Cole, funny enough he's the biggest liability

woodson has been pretty good this year.....He holds everybody, including carmelo, accountable on defense.

as for Vogel.

He's the reason for the pacers the last two years. Jim o brien was one of the worst coaches, Frank Vogel got his team to buy into concepts.

Not sure if Vogel is really that bad if at all.

Bulls without Rose and Deng drop all of 84 points on the Wizards, shooting 38% Boxscore here

Oh, if only we had Thibs!
