I've been saying this all year....anybody who doesn't see how awfully stagnant our offense is with Dwight and how the ball moves 100x better without him is blind. The majority of the board all year kept babbling about how we would be literally "the worst team in the league" etc without him haven't watched enough basketball in their lives I think. Hell, look at Chicago....if you said at the beginning of the year that Rose would basically play half the year, and that Chicago would still have the best record, you would've gotten laughed out of the building. It isn't that the Magic have "no talent outside of Dwight" like everyone has been bitching and moaning about all year...it's that offensively, Dwight makes his teammates (other than maybe Ryan) worse. He clogs the lane so Jameer can't easily penetrate or come off a screen. He clogs the lane so that Baby can't work in the post. He isn't a great passer and he is turnover prone so that doesn't add to our efficiency either. Now, I'm not saying we are a "better" team without him (well we are a better TEAM....just not a better team), because he obviously brings ABSURD efficiency to the defensive end. However, it shouldn't be a surprise to anybody that we have had some of our best offensive quarters and games without him. I can only imagine this team with Deng + Noah...(which I said he should've traded him and Hedo for if we got the chance). They would fit perfectly. Don't demand the ball, great teammates, and great defenders/passers.

It'll be stupid to trade the best C in the game for two sub-allstars level players. This team obviously worse offensively without Dwight, not debating that. All that should mean is otis done a poor job surrounding Dwight with complementing players. Either that or Stan doesn't know how to use Dwight. I can't believe it's so hard for us to build around the best C of his generation. I feel our best chances are with Dwight, so we need to build around him. This team with Noah and Deng isn't going to do jack except 5-6 seed and 1st or 2nd round exit.

It's mainly because the players were dogging it when Dwight was playing apparently.

which is why I'm upset with these players. A lot of them have the talent to do so much better than they have performed in the last few years.

It's why I appreciate BBD and the energy he always plays with. Now that is a player I will always support.

Its pretty annoying that they evidently weren't trying hard enough with Dwight on the floor, but I don't feel like I can honestly complain about the guys being in heart and hustle mode. Although I do think some people have gotten the wrong impression as to why they're playing better now, I think its more because they want to prove something.

One thing I will say though, we set a crazy number of screens... especially now with Dwight out. All screens all the time.
