Minnesota Timberwolves - Utah Jazz Trade Idea

Post#1 » by finnegan » Fri Apr 20, 2012 5:16 am

This was posted in the New Orleans forum, and I hope that the Timberwolves would consider the same option of forcing Golden State to win, in your matchup with them on Sunday, April 22nd. Scratch our back and we'll scratch yours.

finnegan wrote:This is a real simple trade.

All that New Orleans has to do is make sure that Golden State Warriors win on April 24th. What could the Jazz offer to you to make this a reality? A future second rounder seems like too high of a price, and "cash considerations" is pretty much non-viable.

I realize that none of this would be legal, but the 2012 GSW half of a season tank where Golden State unashamedly went 4-23, should be illegal! Golden State tried to force the Jazz to trade their #8 pick back to them, with a super low ball offer of the San Antonio pick #28 or #29. GSW felt that their leverage against the Jazz, was that they could tank half the season starting back in mid-March

How about the Jazz just owe NOH a favor in the future, if you make sure that Golden State wins your upcoming game with them on April 24th

Obviously, the Jazz want to have a better chance at getting the GSW pick, and I am hopeful that you will find the GSW tank as disturbing as most others. See the article below, and keep in mind that this was written by a GSW reporter.

We already have a "trades and transactions" board for pretend trades that will never happen. We should probably get a "CBA violations" board for this.

Oh yeah, the Joe Smith situation. Oh well, it was worth a try.

Now I will switch to begging and pleading mode.

Please, please, please tank the game against Golden State and force them to win, and if you do then we will beat Phoenix, and make the playoffs so that you will get our 2012 first rounder.

You realize that the title "RealGM" isn't official, right?

Edit:

I.E., Despite what it says under my screen name, I'm not actually an assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Awesome job Timberwolves! Way to put a stop to GSWs most flagrant tank in NBA history.

Now the Jazz will live up to our end of the bargain! Phoenix is going to be tough, but I think that we can pull it off.
