I would say that's true if it were someone other than Artest. Artest has a long history of this BS and I personally have had enough of it. Ban his ass and make the Lakers pay his salary anyway.

That's just stupid. Oh noes lets ban him for sh*t that happened 8 years ago.

8 years might seem like a long time, but from Stern's perspective, this just shows that if you keep having Artest around, you have to expect that stuff like this will keep happening, albeit relatively rarely. Maybe Artest retires without doing something like this again, but what motivates Stern to take the chance?

bball players must be sissy's. That guy didn't flinch.

Ron must have watched Jon dominate with those elbows last night.

Iono man. Looks to me like he blocked the elbow.

why do people keep posting that Harden is fine and playing. He's not fine, he's not playing, he's in the locker room with concussion symptoms.

Artest should be out for the playoffs, and perhaps kicked out of the league for good.

Back in the days when players used to fight basically every day, the league was in very bad shape. Publicly it was perceived as a league full of coke-snorting thugs.

When Stern took over he transformed the league by holding players accountable for their actions on-court, making the league much more appealing to a broader audience.

Would you want to get elbowed in the head while playing basketball?

I honestly think it was unintentional, but still nobody but a psycho like Artest would be throwing around an elbow like that in celebration.

Anyone saying this was unintentional is either blind or just plain mentally challenged.

Again: Their arms are in contact before he starts to raise his arm to "celebrate" He was well aware Harden was to his left. Intentional. Period.

Realistically half season at most. It looked intentional, but he was caught up in the moment. I don't see a lifetime ban. There have been people who got into fist fights and only get suspended a game. Yes these fist fights involve shots to the head

Actually you're right, they are touching

Still I don't know if it's intent to injure as much as MWP attempting a shove to the chest or something and just losing his sh*t

How bout this one LOL

Right, the thing is it's pretty hard to tell exactly how hard an elbow connects most of the time. Maybe the hit on Harden wasn't as bad as it looked, but players do get fractured skulls from elbows, and that's a huge freaking deal.

fsit fight is a bit differnt. harden didn't get a chance to defend himself. with fist fights the participants obviously know what they're getting into.

Artest was bumping his chest, then bumped into Harden, then cocked back his elbow and swung through while being absolutely aware where Harden was. The only case you can make for Artest is not aiming specifically for the head. But still, you can't just swing your elbow in the vicinity of someones head and when you actually connect say "Oh, but I wasn't actually aiming for the head".

Any person with a functioning brain and the gift of sight that says that was unintentional has serious problems, like MWP. They are flat out lying just to get a rise, or they are mentally challenged and can not comprehend reality.

I fell out when dude dropped Snooks. It was f*cked up, but still funny.

Did you guys see Artest going into some Kind of Boxer-Mode as he was in front of Ibaka? If there were nobody between These two we would have had another brawl...
