It's the other way round.

It's really depressing that even with a change of owners and front office that the team is still exactly the same. If you didn't know any better you'd think Cohan was still owner.

If the warriors lose the rest and NewJersey wins against Toronto, I believe NewJersey wins the tie breaker and that would leave the Warriors at number 7 if no team jumps to the top. Also there is a slim chance that the Kings win 2 more games, although I highly doubt it.

Riley lowered the protection with New Jersey in exchange for pushing the pick back a season that way he could make trade for Stoudamire. Riley never made the trade with the Suns though so he ended up lowering the protection on the pick for absolutely nothing.

Riley should've been fired years ago.

Riley should've gone with the last ownership. Proper transition and change involves changing everything in the high positions and they failed to get rid of him.

For the draft it doesn't matter how the season series went. If you tie in record, it goes to a coin flip no matter what.

Might well come down to a coin flip between the Warriors and one or two other teams. Knowing our history, we'll lose and be 8th.

Maybe FO gives away a 2nd to get back the pick before the coin flip. I could see Lacob buying the pick back.

Did anyone else get hurt to assure a tank/Coin Flip? LOLZ!

Kevin O'Connor isn't doing that. 2nd round picks aren't that hard to get really.

It's obviously on the Front office, mainly Riley and Lacob now for the potential loss of the pick. Lacob can't keep his big **** mouth shut so now rumor out of Utah is that we'd have to pay DOUBLE if we want to keep our pick this year. Yeah, right. Once again our fearless leader eschews GM common sense in favor of hearing his own **** self talk.

And a special hater shout-out to the punchless disgrace of a team in the Wolves. They couldn't want it any less in that 2nd half. No defense, no ball movement, dumb TO's all around. Who would've known AR would've screwed around and gotten us a win. GAHHHH...Stupid **** franchise.

Where have you heard this? I've heard nothing.

I watched the game, the Wolves played like a team tanking even though they don't have their own draft pick (they get one if the Jazz make the playoffs), JJ Barea called out his teammates apparently from what I read on Twitter.

Jazz fan here... that is an interesting counter conspiracy theory argument....

There might be truth to the fact that the Wolves would want the Jazz to get your pick so that they could convince the Jazz if they don't make the playoffs to go ahead and give them their pick at 14...

I don't think it is likely that there is a conspiracy, but I do think it is possible that Utah gives Minnesota their pick (to satisfy the one we owe them) if they give us Cash/ Take Raja Bells last year/ and give us the right to swap with them first round picks in future years.

Basically the Jazz would be open to that if they get your pick at #8 because they don't need 2 lottery picks.

The one thing I don't like about our new owners is all the "talk". They talk so big all the time, yea playoffs for sure, Klay is the ROY I promise!, Klay is really something he will be amazing, etc.

I don't like that type of bragging/empty promises. I'd rather we show how great we are through ACTION instead of words. Show a little bit more modesty. It is one of the few reasons I never really took this ownership that seriosely. They are all talk.

From Warrior Beat Writer Marcus Thompson's Twitter:

@gswscribe KOC told us that GSW would have to double their payment to get the pick back...jazz FO def not happy that GS went public

Lacob better STFU from now on.

This tanking cheats ticket buyers out of quality games and hurts the integrity of the game.

Not my idea but I like it:

All non-playoff teams have equal chance at the top 5 picks. Once those places are drawn all remaining teams are placed in the order of their finish. Incentive to tank would be minimal.
