Channing Frye injury?

Post#1 » by aussieman33 » Sun Apr 22, 2012 4:57 am

Hi, I missed the game today and saw that Frye left with an shoulder injury. Does anyone know the severity or the injury? Is he likely to come back next game or is he probably done for the regular season? thanks.

The shoulder injury wasnt/isnt that severe, it was the other injury that many didnt see that affected Frye the most. You see, while everyone was looking at Frye's shoulder popping out of socket, the real damage done was that Farried accidentally stepped on Frye's vagina. True Story.

I'd say no.

He's done for the rest of the season. This same thing happened to the same arm/shoulder last year. He was forced to miss a little over 2 weeks because of it.

The Suns also lost Channing Frye to a right-shoulder subluxation in the second quarter, leaving him questionable for Tuesday after it was popped back. Some range of motion returned. Grant Hill also missed a fourth consecutive game because his lateral movement remained uncomfortable due to right-knee soreness he had since leaving an April 14 game. That knee underwent arthroscopic surgery for a meniscus tear March 30. Frye and Hill are questionable for Tuesday.

IMHO, he's done.

"The difference this time is that Frye suffered a subluxation rather than a dislocation, which kept him out 12 days last season. With two off days, there is a chance Frye could play Tuesday night at Utah if the swelling stays under control and he is able to regain range of motion. Frye already could hold his right arm straight out after it was popped back into joint during the Suns' 118-107 home loss to Denver."

I dont trust them.

Just Like how Hill had his knee done and said he would be back in 2 weeks. It sounded crazy because other younger players like Lin had the same injury and they were told they were done for at least a month or two. Hill kept on saying 2 weeks, 2 weeks. Came back too early and now he's been out for another week (makes 3 weeks now).

If Frye plays against Utah, then they will be rushing him back, and will hurt us just as much, as Frye wont be playing 100%. Frye at 100% sucks, but Frye at 75% sucks even more.

Time for Markieff to shine. With Frye maybe out, it's time rook!

This would have been the game to do that. He played poorly on the offensive side with get his pocket picked twice due to laziness and not coming to the pass. With Denver, that should have been the biggest scouting report agenda item. Come to your pass, or these guys will steal and run.

The refs sure didn't help him stay on the floor, but Morris makes tons of ticky reach ins that usually get called, even if they aren't instructed to call more on the Suns.

Again, it was obvious that with Warrick starting the third, our coach has no idea how to fill Frye's void. We should have tried a bunch of small ball, but not a line up of Telfair, Brown, Redd, Warrick, and Morris. :( Sometimes they are good individual offensive choices, but as a unit? Are you kidding me?

You pop a shoulder once... it is likely you pop it again... and again.

Sit him... play out the the last few games and hope for the best. we dont make it in, so be it. We make it, Frye is much more likely to be healed enough to continue the 4-5 post season games added to this yr. I wouldn't expect us to challenge either of the top two seeds. This isnt a Sunderalla squad. No fn-heart, no fn-fire.

Nice guys finish last, or in this case 8th. We will surprise no one, and whoever our opponent will be choplicking with us on their slate.

Good night Nurse.

Rest Frye and Hill, why take chances on making it worse. I understand Hill wanting to come back and help but he needs to let it heal. Same with Frye. go with Nash, Brown, Chilly, M-squared and Lopez. Build up Lopez value a bit if possible ...

or not.

I'm disappointed in Gortat, he's really not strong enough or tough enough - we need to pair him with a Millsap or Brandon Bass type.

This board is so **** negative. It's annoying to read. Same things said by everybody. Channing Frye doesn't suck, and is critical to the Suns offense (and he's not a terrible defender). "OH NOEZ, a BIG MAN SHOOT 3, BAD!"

I don't know how many times it has to be said, how crucial that is in a Nash-led offense. With Warrick in (who is an awful defender) in the 3rd, the offense didn't work, and the defense was somehow even worse than the offense. There was no spacing, and the lane that Nash loves driving down was clogged. No matter how you feel about Frye, you can't legitimately think that he isn't crucial to the Suns.

Yep, don't see how we can get Milsap. As for thelast two mentioned, do they want to leave the Clips? The fans and the team seem to really like the two, but who knows? We really need a starting PF and SG. I don't think Morris is ready for a full time starting job, and don't think that would be a sufficient upgrade to keep Nash.

Can someone ask Paul Coro who Gentry will start at PF if Frye can't play?

Even though the obvious answer is Morris, Gentry is pretty ****** so wouldn't surprise me if he went with Warrick at PF...or even Childress!

I would go with Morris and then let Childress play backup. Warrick shouldn't even touch the floor. I mean, last year we used him as pick n roll partner for nash but now that we have gortat he isn't even useful in that sense.
