what? yeah, have read this thread? im speaking to the royal "you"...you havent answered the question , sally, did he target hardins head, from his peripheral vision? and why? if not how can it be "intentional"?

look artest wont play again this season , rightfully so,but stop trying to pretend you know what someone is thinking(or not as it were), cause you dont...

I don't hate the Lakers and I don't hate Ron.

I don't even consider him a bad person. But he is mentally unstable. He's not a sane. One-two or more screws are loose. He doesn't even know the amount of harm that he's capable of causing. And that's something that no player would have to endure.

Right after Ron walked away from Ibaka he said "He's over there all by himself now, someone from the Lakers should make sure they're over there with him" or something to that effect, like he was about to go **** someone in Row 2. Then just kept repeating "what a disgrace" over and over like we didn't hear him the first time. Really overstepped his bounds.

....The dude IS unstable, though. He just gave a dude a ****ing concussion because he kept wildly swing his elbows, and has been known to be a part of these altercations. I mean, he was getting ready to fight Ibaka. You don't know what he's going to do.

No, Breen did not overstep his bounds.

Would have been fun to watch WMP whip Ibaka's ass. Ibaka didn't really want any of that.

I know it sounds bad but dwades all star hit on Kobe did more damage and was more ruthless as he was clearly not going for the ball.

Barganis elbow or worse than this one. Bargs was meant to be a strike.

Im not sticking up for artest in fact he will be gone because of this. Lakers hare this kind of press. Artest will be forced to be a kitten in the play offs if he is so lucky. But this is getting so overblown in comparison to the other 20 incidents this year. Metta Weird peace. Other incidents cause serious injuries.

Wasnt malice 9 years ago? The real q is are we judging him as artest from back then or are we judging the reigning nba citezen ship award and guy who donated his champ ring to charity?

Ancient history or recent history?

Horrible stuff. From Lamar/Bynum/MWP last season to MWP again this season, making the Lakers franchise look like a classless bush league team. Not a good thing for the NBA when your premiere franchise continues to pull this garbage.

He should be suspended this entire post season at minimum.

He picked the wrong person this time though brehs

Hopefully Harden learns his lesson from this incident.

Yeah, MWP is so tough. Yet he ran away from Ben Wallace like the coward he is when confronted.

That would be crazy!

Ron might be slightly bigger, but Oakley was nasty as hell. Intentionally nasty. He was a mean dude.

Nah, Oak was bigger than Artest. And Prime Oak would twist Artest into a knot.

Is it me or do the majority of Laker fans in this thread have this "me against the world mentality"? The "you only think he deserves a suspension because he plays for the Lakers" retort is getting really old. I'd hate to see the lives you guys live. You'd probably get fired from your job and say your boss discriminated against you because you're a Laker fan.

This is a clear intentional elbow to the head. I'm absolutely bewildered about how people can see it any differently. It's really clear cut. There's no in between ground here and Stern and Stu will see what 90% of people in this thread see.

first off...Dwade's all star hit was simply NOT worse than this....Artest was trying to go for the ball? He whacked him in the TEMPLE.

Secondly...we're judgimg Artest as the the guy who donates to charity....the reigning citizenship award winner who also happens to have an extremely dark history of erratic, irresponsible behaviour and an inability to control his emotions. He wasn't a "bad guy" when the Malice happened either, but he completely lost control.

A lot of people are trying to rationalize like Artest has something we take for granted...perspective. His complete lack of perspective is what makes him such a hilarious character with many of his quotes and antics. It is reflected in the fact he changed his name legally to METTA WORLD PEACE. It is also something that can be a severe danger on the court because he does not possess the abiliy to rationally think things through like the majority of us do....ESPECIALLY when his adrenaline is pumping to the max after he has just delivered a huge dunk for example..or had beer thrown at him.

Why don't some people get that he can be a really nice guy, and a lunatic as well? Really depends on the situation.

Nah, it's not the majority of them. At the start of the thread most Laker fans call it what it is. It's only a portion of them that gives a bad rep to the whole Lakers crowd. It's the same with the Knicks fan. They are a lot and thus are bound to have some trolls or simply somewhat ignorant (or straight-up homer) posters in their fan base.

What applies to some does not apply for the whole fan base, though.

I know it's bad for the team, for the league, for he kids on TV, for the sponsors, for David "Freakin" Stern, but I wanna say just one word - BRAVO !!!

Harden really annoyed players and fans with his mouth and cheap acting...

A b###h like that would never play in NHL...
