Jeez, can we bench Crawford already and give Almond some burn?

WTF???

My heart just sank. It was predictable, Ted doesn't fire-much and Ernie is a master politician and ass-kisser. If you loved his last draft then you must be excited :(

Just an idea.

Sit Crawford
Put in Almond.

I take this as a sign Randy doesn't really like the kid that much.

Two European-American transplants from NYC. Ted has a whole lot in common with EG. This does not surprise me, other than I had heard the reports to the contrary that said EG was history.

Having dealt for Nene, that said it all.

Wow, Wall is making some incredible passes. Not trolling, but it will be interesting to see what JJ has to say about this.

Chocolate City Jordanaire wrote:Honestly, going by the criteria of just evaluating Ernie since Ted Leonsis has owned the team; the first thing he did was deal Gil for Rashard. That saved Leonsis money. I felt a while back that Ernie had a better than good chance of returning because of that move alone.

-Turning Hinrich into Crawford and Singleton looks great, regardless of how either Jordan or Chris turn out long term.

-Vesely is 7-7 right now. He's catching and dunking everything in sight. He's at his career high.

-EGs scouts were right on Seraphin and Vesely. Kevin is a beast on the low block.

-The Nene trade is going to look real good for at least a year or two. It looks great right now

-I have to give EG props not just for Almond, but for guys who have got it done, James Singleton and Cartier Martin. Both those guys being back has given the Wizards some continuity and some credibility.

-Wittman was the right call. It wasn't time for Sam Cassell. Randy has done a great job. There's really no justification other than his past coaching record for not bringing him back.

I have been Ernie's biggest critic. I've called him an incompetent a heap of times. None of that matters right now. This summer they have three picks. They will buy out Lewis. They probably won't amnesty Blatche, but they will do ANYTHING REASONABLE to move Andray.

I'm not seeing where Ernie can ruin much. Draft Drummond 2nd? So what -- he might work out in time. Barnes? Yep, that would suck, but he's not playing much.

The way I see it, the Wizards are going to get a good draft pick and they will be very competitive next season. Look at the end of this season.

This is no fluke.

I have a thread just for just such an occasion :D

Not me. I see Drummond as big. He's not that good.

Beal is a better bet to become a great player in time.

Now that I've had time to calm down, I'm don't think resigning EG was a terrible move. He's done a solid job rebuilding this team since Pollin's death, but I think we could do better. Why couldn't Leonsis wait until the offseason to see who else was available before extending him?

Beautiful pass by Wall to Ves, this is what we were expecting when we drafted Ves, beautiful. Now all Ves needs is 25 lbs of muscle

Everyone wants Davis, but only one team can win the lottery and the odds are not in anyone's favor.

Beal would be a nice consolation prize.

WAll has had a lot of nice passes. I like how Wall doesn't try the fancy passes that some guys try, like going behind the back, looking the other way, etc.

Davis is going to Brooklyn, there going to win the draft lottery. The cards are already set on the table I can feel it. The last few years something dramatic has happened to win the draft, Polin's wife in attendance, Gilbert's son and this year the Nets moving to Brooklyn unless some team owner brings in a lot of homeless ppl or brings up a sappy story
