Hard to argue with the numbers.

I was riding shotgun on the "trade Jefferson" stage-coach at the beginning of the season...but he has proven to be a pleasant surprise. I wonder if he's excited to finally get to the playoffs...those numbers say he is....

anyone else see this?

kinda makes me feel bad for the guy. here we are, just trying to get into the playoffs, and it is still a relatively disappointing season. and big al is saying this is the best team he has ever been a part of. all his other teams were kinda just checking out to finish the season.
of course, we know what we have, so some, if not most, view this season as a success. but relative to jazz's history and fans' memories, this team still sucks. we expect to be on top of the division at least, and being at least a threat in the playoffs. and we see we have the pieces to do that in a pretty short period of time.
big al is a good guy and deserves to be part of a winning team. and he has helped this team out loads. his player of the week honors show he is getting recognized for his help. his attitude is positive, he is still learning and approaching coaches on how to improve. he can be more than an asset on this team. he may not have the leader type persona that people expect him to have, but he has the drive to win, preform, and compete every night-especially when the games start to matter.

Jefferson said this is what he thought the #NBA would be like when he entered league. Playing for something that matters at end of season.

Al Jefferson said the 2011-12 #UtahJazz are the best team he's been a part of since his rookie season in Boston.

Re: Jefferson Player of the Week
I WANT Al to work out for the team, because he's a great guy and a good locker room presence. I just have trouble seeing it, given his deficiencies and liabilities. Only time will tell (as it unfortunately has with CJ Miles, a great guy who will never, ever put it all together).
