This is what I was warned/suspended for.

The first question is how do you get suspended for that? If poking fun at players (in this case Derrick Rose) is considered trolling then what isn't considered trolling?

The ironic thing about this is 3 months ago I was warned for this exchange:

Again, just from the first page. I don't think anyone of these responses necessitate a warning, but I just don't understand why 2 posts were singled out?

Then, after my suspension, I check my PMs and I have this gem of a message.

This is an odd statement b/c

a) I've had a grand total of 2 warnings since 2008. One of them was listed above. The other wasn't much worse.
b) Let's assume I do start trouble (which I still don't even know what that means), why would a mod write something so deconstructive? It's almost as if he posted that to bait me into responding with a personal attack. Very weird.

My best and only guess is he doesn't like my posting style, which is fine. But if that's the case, there are more constructive ways to go about addressing it. This doesn't include looking for ways to get posters banned and/or branding them as trouble makers.

My plan was to just PM HMFFL about this (I honestly thought it was a mistake) but after seeing his message I figured there was high probability than any direct communication with him would result in another suspension or a ban.

- Users Must Make Constructive posts - When you make a post, please do not just fill up the page with a bunch of non-constructive one-liners. It drives the thread off-topic. Moderators will take action if too much of this is going on for pages on end and users do this on a consistent basis.

Your post is also considered baiting and trolling.

Actually, you have four warnings since 2008, and my comment "You always appear when it's time to start trouble" was an echo from others. I never noticed that someone else made the same comment about you when I issued you the warning.

If only I had the time to be overly concerned about your posting style. I have nothing against you, so that's not the problem here, but you clearly broke the rules of the GB with your post. Accept responsibility for your actions. Had it been on a team board it would probably not be an issue.

I've always been open to discussing issues with posters. However, I have to mod differently on the GB, because the rules are different, and we have less tolerance. We won't catch them all, look how many people post, but I make an effort to cut down on the garbage post as much as possible.

That isn't a 1 liner and the post you acted on was my second in the thread. I write constructive posts all the time, so I just don't understand how in a thread filled with similar comments only 2 are punished. Nobody even said anything about it publicly in the thread (even though now I think I was reported). What about the comments in every single Lebron or Blake Griffin thread?

I was talking about after my last suspension in 2008, but the point is moot. I'm not sure why you would echo something like that, especially since it isn't true. It wasn't constructive at all and we both know this.

I've showed other examples of similar, unpunished posts, so I don't think you can fault me for not seeing how I clearly broke the rules.

Posters shouldn't be targeted b/c of their posting style (whether by a mods or a poster who reports the post). I don't think I should walk on egg shells b/c a handful of people don't like my posts, neither do I think mods should show favoritism towards certain groups posters (or players/teams). At the very least, enforcement should be more consistent and less ambiguous. You can frame it however you like and of course you won't be questioned, but its fairly obvious to the casual observer that the actions taken were a bit excessive and lacked discretion.

If I had time to enjoy the GB for what it is things would be different, but I accepted a role on the GB, and seeking out the trouble is what my focus is on. It's unfortunate that's your role but the issue is about consistency and using discretion, which is why I used examples. Other posters weren't brought up to get anyone in trouble (I already said I didn't think they did anything wrong either).

I've read over the rules more than once and the explanation you gave didn't seem to fit the what actually happened. I didn't fill up the page with one liners nor do I do it on a consistent basis.

As far as your 4 carefully selected examples, are they not borderline b/c they don't violate the rules? If negativity and snarky/sarcastic comments aren't allowed it would be helpful if it was in the TOS. And this:

Regardless, it's clear this isn't helping. You obviously believe there was nothing wrong with how you handled this situation and I disagree. It seems you acted on the (incorrect) premise that I'm a problem poster rather than assessing the situation for what it was. All I ask is for more consistency and discretion be shown in the future. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't seem like that will happen.
