he was coming to about 75% of the games the past two years, but the past 2 months he has been invisible. i think he is too embarrassed to be seen at the games any longer. i dont blame him.

but i'm sure he'll be there on thursday for the home closer on national tv. it would be pretty bad if he didnt show up for this game. he has to come and take the abuse he is going to receive from the TNT crew and show the fans he is still in this. even bob johnson never missed a home closer.

I believe he got tired of having to continuously go into the locker room after the game and give the team a pep talk like they're a bunch of high schoolers.

Him, and Cho especially thought they could get by this year by being bad, but not historically bad. They thought wrong.

Heard one of the beat writers in Charlotte on Colin Cowherd this morning. Said MJ has not been seen at the arena likely from embarrassment. Said he always plays the Pro-Am whent he PGA comes to Charlotte, which is next week. Likes to play with Tiger. Not playing next week. MJ is running low. This is so sad.

Larry Brown rips Michael Jordan and Charlotte Bobcats

“He’s around people who don’t have a clue.’’

“He had people around me that made me sick.’’

“It was almost like they were spies wondering what we were doing and getting back to him.’’

“A coach, a GM and a president all have to be attached at the hip.’’

This is getting dirty.

Good for Jordan to take a shot at his ego. Makes him more determined than he already is.

We were an expansion team when Larry got here. Why in heck was this guy expecting to be coaching the Lakers. He knew the team was bad. He shouldn't have took the job in the first place if he couldn't be patient through a few rough seasons.

On these points LB is correct. Higgins is a lackey who has used his friendship with MJ for years. While LB made some moves that hurt the cap, that's his M.O. Higgy should have managed it better, but that's expecting too much. The bad deals are part of Brown's legacy, which makes him part of the tank, but it doesn't excuse Higgy and MJ from their share of the blame.

The Bobcats survived bad drafts to reach the playoffs under Brown. How many miles away that is sitting here today!
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

The Bobcats didn't survive bad drafts to make the playoffs because of Brown. They made the playoffs, because while drafting poorly great trades were being made that helped the team more than the drafts hurt the team. Then on top of that if the Cats had not made the DECISION to tank for a star rather than continue in constant mediocrity they would still be in the playoffs. While you are condeming the management don't forget that even though this season was worse than any of us wanted it to be it was sacrificed on purpose.

everytime i hear people in the business or people who have been involved with this franchise say things like MJ needs to stop hiring friends and MJ has yes men who are afraid to tell him the truth and MJ has people around that dont have a clue, i always think of higgins, vincent and whitfield. its been long confirmed that vincent actually didnt have a clue. i dont really know much about whifield, so maybe he gets a pass. but higgins seems to keep coming to the forefront of people who suggest MJ has hired people who dont know what they are doing.

as for larry's comments, i though bonnell did a good job of painting both sides, higgins might be clueless, but LB was impossible to deal with.

does anyone thing MJ will ever fire higgins? i don't think so.

Jordan responds to LB.

http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2012/0 ... rylink=rss

“It’s absolutely wrong that I don’t want guys to challenge me. And the people who say that aren’t in the room,’’ Jordan told the Observer.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

i am glad MJ stepped up and responded so quickly. its been a while since we have heard from him and he always has a way of making me feel better about the team when he talks.

That article sums up perfectly the exact opposite of what most RealGM'ers and Barkley and the media think. But everyone loves to hate on Jordan so its just a moot point.

While I didn't want to be this bad of a team, it was the right move and I hope more people will understand that. And Jordan has made some excellent decisions on the business side.

MJ's response didn't justify anything for me. The FO is still questionable and MJ haven't made any change to the FO base on their track record (aside from Rich, but he's still overseed by Higgins).

I don't think Higgins will be going anywhere soon. Not with what he have come out and said. Removing Higgins would only contradict it. The only thing to do now is to keep Higgins in his position but removing his power in the FO and giving it to Rich. I hope that would be the case.

Reading the comments from the article... There's ALOT of people who hates Higgins, and his son.

The whole problem with nepotism is it makes it very difficult to properly judge competence. Remove the nepotism and you can judge on merit.

Both Higginses and both Silases should go this offseason. They're eminently replaceable, and then MJ doesn't have to face these questions.

Sounds like from this interview that's not going to happen. Shame.

Larry Brown is the most cancerous thing ever to be unleashed on this franchise.

He did more damage than even Top Bob.

whether LB is telling the truth or not, its just so unprofessional to trash for former employer like that. its such an immature thing to do. something i would expect a college grad to do after the first time they are let go, not a guy who has been around for decades.

Its especially trashy when you start off your sentence saying "I love Michael, but...." and then spend the next 10 minutes trashing him and the people he surrounds himself with.
