How did everybody do?
If you played H2H then its likely you're season just wrapped up. I found this to be the flukiest fantasy season ever with health likely being the deciding factor in many leagues. I can't wait for next year when the schedule is back to normal. Still a fun year where even the best managers were forced to get creative.
In my main league I won the Ship. My team was devastated by injuries during the semis but I was able to turn my big-man, punting FT% team into a all-out small-ball team mid-week which let me eek through the semis and then win a squeaker in the finals. Some of my finest work. Greg Stiemsma and Goran Dragic, you have a new fan.
In my secondary league, I took the bronze. Lost by 3 steals in the semis to the healthiest team in the league. Lost Lin, Pek, and K-Mart during the first round and couldn't recover. I blame K-Mart for losing me the ring. Not only did he bust, he made me hesitate on picking up Dragic and the guy who knocked me out eventually picked him up and his steals were the difference. One of the dumbest mistakes I've made in fantasy hoops.
So how'd everybody do? Tell us your cool stories bros.

Re: How did everybody do?
I got the championship
despite having some bad luck along the way. Opted to draft Brook Lopez instead of Bynum and wouldn't you know it Lopez got injured and Bynum's been great.
Then flipped Tony Parker for Bogut and 3 games late Bogut got injured. However, I managed to grab Lin quick and flip him for Kobe with other players involved for both sides before he got injured.
Also managed to get Dragic. Isaiah Thomas was a good add and my team has been pretty healthy. The thing that helped me the most was the Lin and Stat injuries. I had Melo and Chandler and they beasted without them. I also picked up JR Smith after someone dropped him and killed this last week. The semi's were more close for me since I was facing the guy that had LeBron but Melo pulled through for me.
First time playing too and winning it all.

Finished 1st in my league. But lost in the first round of the playoffs. I just forgot to set my roster for ONE day! Because of that, I settled for 5th. BOOOOOO!
It's kind of funny how the 1st & 2nd seeded teams in my league were fighting for 5th!

Re: How did everybody do?
first in 1 league, tied 4-4 but i had the tiebreaker
second in the other, lost 4-5 by a few steals/blocks. had some injuries like rubio, lin and horford but in the end he got dragic which was the gamechanger.
i'm in first by a couple of points in my roto league, but that's mostly because i actually set my lineup and have pretty much stayed on pace for all my positions whereas the other teams are +10 in some positions and -10 in others.

Re: How did everybody do?
I only lost one matchup in the whole season and then my team just did a big ass choke job in the finals (2-6-1). I tied in TO's, and lost by four rebounds, one steal, and nineteen points. Didn't help I had four guys out with injuries. Got destroyed by the KD/Westbrook combo. Fu<king pissed.

in my points league i was last place. i had lebron but i traded him for deron thornton bogut and granger. it was weekly lineups so i forgot to set my lineups a few times. in my h2h league im currently in the championship but i doubt i'd win. i just lost lee aldridge and amare. i also lost lin and rubio earlier.

Won one league and I beat a guy who was undefeated all year.
Another league I came 3rd. Tied 1st round but I had the tie breaker. Tied 2nd round (by 1 TO) too but lost to that guy in the reg season.
And my 3rd league I am in the finals right now.
So a very good season for me considering I came top 3 out of 35 teams altogether.

I'm in the finals in my league right now. The finals just started this week for me. It's not looking good with injuries to Chris Kaman and Marc Gasol...

Playing for the championship of my 3 leagues.
Currently losing 2 of those, rest / injuries are killing me right now, gotta get creative for the last 4 days.
I will be satisfied winning 2 out of 3 though.

Re: How did everybody do?
Won the regular season which counts in my league...and I got third in the playoffs. I got screwed in the semi's, losing 6-4 when I just needed 5-5. What happened was ridiculous:
-I was losing pretty badly in 3 pt% but was winning in 3ptm
- My opponent picks up JR Smith
- JR Smith goes like 2 for 15 or something ridiculous like that from 3 against the Bulls I believe
-I'm only losing 3p% by .009
- Isaiah Thomas goes 3 for 4 from downtown and I win 3p%
- i get screwed in ft% as Isaiah Thomas goes 5 for 8 and I lose by .003. If he went 6 for 8 I would've moved on and very likely won...and lose 6-4. Miraculous comeback in 3p% and I end up losing ft% by .003..
- The other semi was decided by one block.

I won the championship in the money league I hosted. I beat Curtis Lemansky in the finals. We both won our divisions.
I won another H2H league.
I'm currently winning my Rot league. I have 84 points and the second place person has 68.

Re: How did everybody do?
First time playing and won. Our group started two weeks into the season and I got lucky draft day of getting the number 2 pick and ended up with Blake Griffin, Lebron and Bynum on my squad who became my three power houses (You know I was estatic the night Bynum got the 30 boards). Won every week except the two weeks prior (our host didn't know how to reset it to 0), my biggest faults where assists and FT %(thank you Blake for that) got to 8-0-0 weeks, and almost all went 7-1-1. The last week I got creative and just dropped players nightly depending on who was playing that night. Won the finals with 5-3-0. Can't wait for next season.

Re: How did everybody do?
Played first time, rotisserie 8-cat on ESPN, and I won it. Health was an important factor this year, as Bank Shot noted; I suffered from Horford, Varejao, Deng & Lin injuries, but everyone had some issues.
I'd like to summarize my draft:
Stellar: Kevin Love (my 1st pick, 7th overall), Joe Johnson (4/34), Marc Gasol (6/54), Kyrie Irving (8/74)
Solid: Luol Deng (5/47), Carlos Boozer (7/67), Anderson Varejao (10/94)
Letdowns: Al Horford (2/14), Jrue Holiday (3/27), Demar DeRozan (9/87)
Others (games played, descending order):
Paul Millsap, Rajon Rondo, James Harden, Paul George, Brandon Jennings, Jeremy Lin, Nikola Pekovic, Goran Dragic, Ryan Anderson, Tony Allen, Luke Ridnour, Gordon Hayward, Monta Ellis, Gerald Henderson, James Johnson, Jason Thompson, Mike Dunleavy, J.R. Smith, Isaiah Thomas, John Salmons, Steve Novak, J.J. Hickson, Mo Williams

Shpati's Fanasty League Conclusion
I just finished my fantasy league season. This was the first one I ever participated in, and I beat everyone. I got first place.
My cousin is in the same league so I get to talk some smack.
Yahoo Sports, Fantasy Basketball, Roto, Keeper League, Year 1, so I am going to see these newbies next season.
I beat everyone by five points:

This the roster I finished with. I had Carl Lowry and I replaced him with Brandon Bass than replaced Bass with Beasley. And replaced Mosgov (
) with Andre Miller:

The final stats:

Re: How did everybody do?
Played in and won a competitive $50 buy-in H2H league. I wasn't sure it would happen after I ended up with the last pick in our draft, but I made up for it by drafting a pretty solid team. Also, for what it's worth- I didn't make a trade at all during the season. I attempted quite a few but nothing ever came of it.
Here's the team I drafted, not in the order drafted:
Kyrie Irving
John Wall
Tyreke Evans
Nic Batum
Paul George
Carmelo Anthony
Amare Stoudemire
Kris Humphries
Marc Gasol
Toney Douglas
Derrick Favors
Timofey Mozgov
----> I dropped the last three on the list very early on. After that, my remaining 3 roster spots were owned by a variety of players at one point or another- Nene, Hawes, Felton, MarShon Brooks, Lopez, Ginobili, Biyombo, Dalembert, all spent a bit of time on my team- albeit short and usually picked up when injured with the hopes they'd return from injury.
Here's the team that got me through the playoffs:
John Wall
Kyrie Irving (dropped him for the 7-10 days he was out..was fortunate to get him back for the final week)
Grievis Vasquez
Eric Gordon
Klay Thompson
Tyreke Evans
Paul George
Nic Batum
Carmelo Anthony
Kris Humphries
Marc Gasol
Nikola Pekovic
The last spot was used to inter-change a variety of guys. As you can see, I had to drop Amare at the beginning of the playoffs and of course the guy I meet in the finals ends up picking him up (along with a few of my other injured cast-offs like Nene) for our match-up. The list of guys that ended up occupying my final roster spot includes: JR Smith, Biyombo, Andre Miller, Hawes, Dalembert, Glen Davis, Lester Hudson, Ed Davis among others...
So I'm pretty happy with the outcome, made a few bucks off it. My strategy at the beginning was to punt FG% and TO's as they're both primarily usage-based categories. Here's how my team did (all year) in the 9 categories our league kept score of:
FG%: 8-9 (10th out of 12)
FT%: 9-8 (6th out of 12)
3PTM: 7-9-1 (7th)
PTS: 12-5 (tied for 2nd)
REB: 12-5 (2nd)
ASS: 11-6 (Tied for 1st)
STEALS: 11-6 (3rd)
BLKS: 17-0 (1st)
TO's: 2-14-1 (12th- dead last)
I was shocked that I ended up sweeping the Blocks category. When I looked at my team after the draft, I never would have thought my team would be any good at blocks- in fact I really thought it was going to be a struggle and something I'd have to work to improve. But alas, the opposite turned out to be true- and I have some very strong defensive guards/forwards to thank for that- Wall, Evans, Batum, and George proved to be just as good as accumulating blocks as most of my big men. It definitely ended up being a category-by-commitee sweep.
So thats my fantasy story- got off to a bad start with the last pick in the draft, but can't complain with the outcome.

How did everybody do?
Lost in the semis because of stupid pickups, then got slapped in the 3rd place matchup because of injuries. For most of the year I was injury free then when the playoffs hit I got hammered.

Finished 3rd out of 20 (H2H - 2 man keeper)
1st place in the regular season.
Ryan Anderson and Dwight Howard both getting hurt in the same week f*cked me.
Should've taken Bynum instead opted for DeAndre Jordan.
Gave away my #1 pick next year too in a mid season deal.
Still, I won the title 2 out of the last 3 years. I really wanted to make it 3 out of the last 4. But, it wasn't in the cards.
