2012 Jazz - I was wrong about them.

Post#1 » by habibadobe » Wed Apr 25, 2012 6:23 am

Well guess now is the time to admit it, I was wrong, I had the Jazz at 24 wins for season and the playoffs were not even a dream. Great work by Corbin and the players. Not sure if getting rocked by the Spurs is worth the lost draft pick, but its hard to be unhappy with the effort this team has put into the season. Whatever the result of the playoffs I am happy and looking forward to the years to come.

Me too. I had them at 28 wins and an also ran for the playoffs.

I'm not even sure the Jazz were better than I thought as much as the other teams being worse.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I predicted 38-28... but i thought I was pretty optimistic in some phases of the season.

I think we need to play playoffs to learn.
We have four guys with 22 years or less. I don't think we need more draft picks if not is a top 8.

Are you guys locked at the 8th seed or is it still possible for you guys to move up to 6th or 7th seed? I don't know the situation with your tie breakers and everything.

2011/2012 Jazz definitely out performed my expectations.

I had them down for 28 wins, too. I've been (at times deservedly) really hard on Corbin this season, but finally figuring out that 'Sap, Big Al and Favors can be on the floor together saved our season. Now if we can trim the fat (Howard, Bell, CJ) and add a couple more pieces, this team looks ready to roll.

I wonder what Memphis thought about being the 8th seed last year...

Just to make sure, since Denver beat OKC tonight, that means now it's locked that we're going to meet each other?
