He will probably want at least 10 mill per year. That's a lot of money for a guy who doesnt really fit in team wise and still hasnt shown any improvement in his jumper.

I personally don't see why everyone wants to get rid of the guy, he's an amazing talent with a freakish combination of size, strength, and speed. He may not have lived up to the superstar role that was thrust upon him after his 20 5 and 5 rookie season but the guys still young and has time. At worst, the guy will become our teams lock down defender and a 3rd option we can go to down the stretch if Thorntons shots aren't falling and cousins isn't contributing. For that plus the possibility of him still developing a consistent jumper (his shot has looked a lot better as of late) and becoming a guy who can not only score multiple ways but fill the stat sheet and contribute. In my mind, the guy deserves at least 10-14 mil/year just based off what he's shown us and potential.

MJ didn't win a title until 6 years in the NBA after 3 years in college. He spent 9 years developing after high school.

Nah. That's not gonna happen. If his agent tried to pull that crap, management could very easily say "Yes, but look at these 25 or so players who are way better than Joe Johnson and paid way less. It would be a ludicrous argument.

The Kings are losing around 10 million a year spending the lowest amount of money they can. As long as they are at Arco I can't see them going over the minimum amount they have are forced to spend. By paying Evans his 10 million plus a year will just increase the Maloofs losses. If they are going to move or sell they will want to keep their balance sheet as lean as possible.

Tyreke Evans is not a max player, and I seriously doubt that any team in the league sees him that way. Don't forget, the market is typically what sets value. All it takes is one team to muddy up the distinction, but after Lewis and Johnson I doubt you see any team desperate enough to go balls out on a player like Tyreke.

I could see Charlotte losing out on any big free agents and going after Reke. Maggette, Diop, Carroll all come off the books.
