This scoring title thing has taken on a life of its own and I'm not sure why. Durant can have it if he wants. Kobe has other things to worry about. Admittedly, the all time scoring lists. But with the playoffs within days, I highly doubt that's a top priority for him right now.

That right there is why I think he get's it. Kills two birds with one stone, moves him up the list and gives him another scoring title.

He's a couple thousand behind Wilt so he's not moving up. Not after a game anyhow.

I almost want him to score 37 just for the lolz.

Anyone who thinks (1) Kobe doesn't know he needs 38 or (2) doesn't care about getting the scoring title is completely off their rockers. He'll take 38 shots if he has to.
