Everyone gets 1 pick to guess how many shot attempts Kobe will put up.

We will congratulate the winner after

My guess is 31

On Nov 7, 2002 against the Celtics, Kobe set a career high in FGA with 47 (he made 17 for 41pts) so my guess is 48 shots.

He better get tons of FT then, cause I doubt he'll shoot a high percentage.
.
If he shoots 24 shots for 2 and 5 for three, hitting 11-24 and 2-5 (13-29), that's 28 points only. He needs 10 more. And that is considering he'll shoot 45% from the field (13-29), a great number for a high volume shooter.
.
Would need to have like 15 FT to get the 10.
.
To get the 38 points, he'll have to shoot at least 32 shots. Something like 13-26 from 2 and 2-6 from 3pt.
.
15-32 would get him 32 points. He can get 6 points in FTs.

Only way Kobe gets 38+ in the most meaningless game of the lakers season is if he's gunning for the scoring title.

Not saying it's bad, in fact in encourage it, but there is absolutely no reason for Kobe to play besides the scoring title.

This is when he takes 5 shots in the first half then sits the rest of the game, just to throw people like you off

I bet you'll be mad.

That's all I wanted

Hoping Kobe flat out guns for it

30 shots or more would look bad though. Unworthy of winning it.

Yeah that really effected David Robinson. :blank:

Im predicting as many shots as it takes to get 38 points. 15, 20, 25, 30. He will probably take 20 in the first half alone

Kobe already scored 38 on 24 shots against this same Kings team.

They should probably sit him. If he got injured in the last game the organization would take a lot of heat

Kobe goes 16/18, 6/6 from three, and 5/5 from the line for 43 points on a career high 106.4% TS

I think Kobe sits it.... although I want him to play and get the scoring title.

Nobody would believe the organization asked him to play. It's obviously Kobe's decision.

You know damn well Kobe wants this, whether he admits it or not. Therefore, if Brown has any brains at all, he will let Kobe play as many minutes as he wants, and chuck up as many shots as he wants against a Kings team that is trying to tank.

Well he got 71 on 41. If Kobe is that efficient, shouldn't be any trouble with him keeping on shooting, even if it is in pursuit of a scoring title.

The point was more if he just doesn't have it going but keeps chucking, then that would be embarrassing and disrespectful to the award.

Staples is Kobe's home and Arco is Kobe's townhouse. Heck, last year the last game of the season was against the Kings in Arco and Kobe hit a dagger 3 to send it to overtime and win. Was suppose to be the last game over there as well.

lol, at least get your facts right before hating. Kobe tries not to miss "meaningless" games that wont improve standings because as he said in the past(and also showed in the past by not missing out on games like this), he plays every game that he can because fans bought tickets to see him.

btw, playing the game to get his legs back after missing 8 games recently in a season that you rarely have practice time is another reason for Kobe to play, especially when the playoffs are this close.
