Stephen A.Smith said Wade should go back to trainer Tim grov

Post#1 » by clarkkent23 » Thu Apr 26, 2012 3:47 pm

Stephen A Smith said Wade recent string of injuries has something to do with leaving his old trainer Tim Grover in 2010 to train with Lebron's trainer even though in the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 he had wade in the best shape of his life and arguably the best player in the league.Stephen says even though wade has influenced Lebron a lot of the court,Lebron has influenced wade a lot more and needs to go back to his old ways.

Stephen A. sure does know a lot about our team.

And I'm not sure how bad Lebron's trainer could be. Look at Lebron's body and his lack of injuries. If the trainer is the problem, why isn't Lebron having a bunch of injury problems as well? I think the injuries are dumb luck and a shortened season. Stephen A is a talking head.

Tim Grover had Wade in his best shape at our championship year and the Olympics. But it's about comfort, and that's on Wade. Training with Grover means going to Chicago right? Perhaps he doesn't like being hounded by his family when he's trying to focus on training.

This is utter nonsense. Wade is not training with Lebrons trainer. He is training with Ed Downs at TERF Fitness in Miami. What SAS is talking about, i have no idea, and as usual I am sure he has no idea. Wade has not suffered from an injury riddled season he is simply more concerned about the playoffs and has been resting accordingly since the All star break. Wade is in phenomenal shape and his current trainer is doing a great job with him.

Lol at SAS

Wade was in terrible shape in the beginning of 2009/10 to the point that Riley called him out on it.

Wade is in the best shape SINCE 09, like Moggs said him missing games have MOSTLY been due to caution getting enough rest to go all out in the playoffs when Heat are good enough to take on most opponents without him.I'm 100% positive that even with those nagging injuries Wade would play through most of them if it were a playoff game.

Even LeBron has had a few nagging injuries here and there, the difference is he plays through them.

I agree that he should work with Grover again, whether that means going to Chicago or not. Grover was the one who had him in the best shape of his life in 08/09 and Grover was also the one who worked with him during the 09/10 season to get back into normal shape.
I do, however, not agree that him changing trainers has led to being more fragile. He's had a couple of freak incidents, such as the disloacted finger or the nasty ankle sprain, which kept him out for a while and led to him losing his rhythm. People are just overreacting to the fact that Wade, due to a couple of unfortutante injuries, has not played up to his standard for most of the season and that LeBron, going along with it, has had a great year.
As a Heat fan I look at it this way: Yes, one of our big guns had a tough season but, unlike some other teams, we were able to maintain our position in the Eastern Conference elite. We have two other great players who were able to carry us through the stretches when Wade was hurt and to me, this only speaks for the quality of team and players we have. I've once again seen so many overreactions regarding the Heat, and this year Wade specifically, that I don't even take most of it seriously anymore.

I agree with everything you said and it's not like Dwyane Wade injuries have been severe like Derrick Rose's when Dwyane played prior to the All-Star Break him and LeBron were just beasting since the break he has tried to be more cautious since the season is only 66 games.

I always felt Wade's main injury this season was the plantar fasciatis. It's something that hasn't been talked about at all outside of that first stint on the bench, but that's not really something that just goes away, especially in a condensed season. I know the team wouldn't want to play that up, but anyone else feel the same? PEACE.

It wasn't plantar, just a sore heel according to them.

Wade has been okay IMO this season despite a lockout.

IF you really think about it, it could be much worse. But Wade has been in fine shape for his standards and given his history.

He has had some feet issues, some soreness (they all have soreness, some just plan to just sit out as an excuse), he is okay.

The dislocated finger has nothing to do with all of this. Also Wade's type of play shouldn't be reflected on his training, he is choosing to play the way he plays, no matter how reckless it seems.

SAS needs to stfu about our team. He keeps trying to distract us because we play his KNicks in the 1st round. I truly believe that conspiracy.

"HEY WADE, YOU'RE IN BAD SHAPE!!"

HEY WADE, YOU MIGHT NOT BE WITH YOUR OWN TEAM NEXT YEAR!! LEBRON, THE GUY YOU WANTED TO PLAY WITH MIGHT BE TRADED ANYWAY!!

Oh it's going to only get worse as the series gets started and the new york media gets access to our players for a 7 game series.

It wasn't plantar fasciitis and he seemed fine during our dominant stretch prior to the All-Star break. It's just one injury following another that has kind of destroyed his rhythm.

so your conspiracy theory is that SAS is trying to help the knicks get out of the first round.

how exactly does his daily preaching about how the knicks are going to do everything they can to bring phil jackson back help them going into the playoffs? enlighten me.

you also fail to acknowledge that he is quite close with wade. why would he want to hurt him?

if i was hellbent on ruining my relationship with wade, i would at least wait until it was a given that the knicks and heat were even going to face each other.

Uhm, he's not hurting Wade? Getting into someone's head isn't hurting them. So what if they are friends? He's a die hard Knicks fan. He is critical to his Knicks but obviously wants to see them succeed, just like a lot of the posters on this board. Even if he comes out and says he thinks the Heat would win against the Knicks, it's a given he would like the Knicks to win.

And Philly is set on Chicago, which means they can possibly tank (I'd be surprised if they won their last game), and the Knicks losing to the Bobcats? It can happen if NY rests all their starters and don't even play JR Smith.

I'd be shocked if Philly is locked at the 7th seed by tonight lol.

lol, dude is always trying to create dissension with his BS, quasi-psychologist observations.

"STOP FOLLOWING LEBRON!!" "BE THE LEADER!!" "IT'S YOUR TEAM!!" (which is an oxymoron but w/e)

he's just a loudmouth who watches sports and gets paid to pretend he knows more than you

The way i see it SAS is just helping us indirectly. We all know Wade plays his best, more motivated when people doubt him/ question him.

Then what about the trade rumor SAS seems to have made up lol.

Wade I'm sure knows he is the last person to leave this team, probably thinks it's BS as well.

But still strange to see SAS running his mouth a lot all of a sudden about the Heat.

so because he's a knicks fan, he's trying to sabotage miami, and if that means making **** up, so be it. that's a brilliant theory.

how's this: riley is unhappy with wade's eating habits, and as a result wants him gone. sound ridiculous? at least that theory is backed with evidence. the only thing backing yours is anger.

you're also forgetting this statement came yesterday morning, when both NY and PHI were tied and had two games left. there was no telling who would get the seventh seed then, and it's still not a lock now. it wasn't so long ago that the heat needed a game winner from wade to escape a loss in charlotte.
