I'm alright with him at 8th. Hope he becomes the black version of Linsanity for us.

Yeah, I accepted this a few days ago. We all know that we're gonna lose the coin toss with GSW, so hopefully Lillard can keep playing at a reasonably high level in the NBA as he did in college.

Lillard the sleeper of the 2012? I still think we'll be making Bayless the QO.

If all the shooters are gone, you better believe that Colangelo will be tempted to opt for the hard-working point guard of the future. His age is actually a plus for his selection as we're looking for pros that might actually be able to play for Casey squad hellbent on the playoffs.

Pretty much a perfect rebuild season in my mind.

Total revamp of team defense, some player development and a lotto pick in a deep draft.

If not......you can't be serious.

If you actually look at the situation this nothing like kemba.

Lillard has good pg size, and has a plus plus skill (shooter)

If he can run pick and roll then he has perfect skill set to run the raps.

Edit:

and with the way Casey talks about Calderon, it really sounds like he wants him back which could influence BC into keeping him and drafting a long term replacement.

exactly. plus, the "star" that we all wanted isn't really there. we still have the ability to pick a guy that fits with the team and can contribute on his rookie contract and beyond.

He's also the oldest player in the draft.

Development between the ages of 18-22 is HUGE.

I think that is a load of crock. There is a reason that the NBA is pushing for increases age limit, so that young guys can develop in college where they are supposed to.

Look at Gereald Green, did coming out early help him ?

Hell look at Amir, did his game develop because he came to NBA early ?

Green didn't develop...he matured (read his draft profile; he always had a ton of talent but not the maturity to utilize it) and Amir works in favor of the point lol. He came into the league young and THEN developed.
