We both agree. At 8-9 this is very good value.

Some will disagree and they can until they're blue in the face BUT Perry won't be sh*t in this league unless he's a SF. He's not physical enough and doesn't rebound well enough to be a PF and more importantly he moves much more like a SF. He looks like a slower, less agile McGrady with no heart....if Casey can beat some sense into him then we have the biggest steal in the draft on our hands (well minus Drummond lol).
I said it before this awful win that if we ended up here (8+) that I draft Perry and swing for the fences or trade this pick away.

I would love PJIII at the 3. Not quite sure he's there or could play it, but I sure as hell take that risk if that's where our pick lies. I think alot of the success/failure of this draft will depend on obtaining a second first round pick.
JamesNaismith wrote:If we're the ones to draft him here's the thing.....Shawn Marion.....is not a great shooter, is not that quick but had great length and moves fast enough (PJ is not THAT slow and is actually quite damn mobile hence the high "potential"). I would argue that at this point PJ3 is just as capable of playing as well as Marion does and arguebly better as he has much better shooting mechanics, probably equal or better range, probably quicker yet he's bigger and Casey turned Marion into a defensive beast (hardly something he was known for prior to DAL). Add to that DC has made JJ and Bargnani (two terribly inconsistent players) consistent, not sure to what extent he can for Jones BUT if he even gets this kid to 70% of what he's capable of then we still have a pretty damn good player on our hands.
