That is funny. I was just looking at the box score and thinking it is a strange world when Mack has 6 TO and is +15.

Kind of sad to see the season go now that we are on a roll. I hope we have a great draft and offseason and come back strong to start the year.

Even funnier, I'm lamenting that Mo Almond won't make the team, but he's a team-high +24. Five points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, only 1 turnovers.

That's why I was wondering why people are saying he shouldn't come back....

What are they talking about? Any idea?

Final stats for M.A: 5 points, 4 rebounds, 5 steals, 1 assist, 1 turnover, 4 fouls. Ended up a game high +24.

It would have been better if he had hit the FT and hit a couple more shots. However, he played really good defense. Oddly, for a guy known as a scorer, at least they know just how badly he wants to make a roster. I don't see why the Wizards wouldn't at least give him another opportunity in training camp.

One thing the guy did do is bust his butt trying.

Another good thing for Mo is even if he doesn't make it, the Wizards have guys like Cartier Martin, who have paid their dues. He's older than Almond by a couple years. Mason is 5 years older. Mo Evans is 6 years older. So, hopefully, Almond at least let these guys know how badly he wants to make it and he made some connections. James Singleton has also played all over. Morris isn't done playing ball, regardless.

I couldn't really tell, but Wittman left Mo Almond on the court a LONG time. The Coach gave him a shot.

Fun end to the season . . . hopefully it won't be a teamwide versoin of 7-day Dray but a real ray of hope and improvement.

All of us had guys we liked better available at the time. He wasn't the sort of pick you screamed about, especially at slot, but it was still uninspired. I had hoped he would surprise me, but he didn't. He's just not better than an NCAA quality player. Wasted pick.

Nice to see the Dallas pick officially improved about 5-6 slots in the last month. Not bad at all, still probably worthless, but 47th or 48th is definitely nicer than 53rd.

Blew them out by 34. That is a worthy lead considering the sat who they did.

6 game win streak.

Very nice.

And a nice lesson for future tank threads (if necessary), don't count the tank victorious until it actually is. We went on a huge run late, and w/o that last second goaltend, would have been sharing the 2 slot with New Orleans (and with 2 wins, would have been in real trouble).

After the season finale, Blatche walked onto the court to give a fan his jersey and he is immediately booed be the lingering fans. Not sure if I should laugh or feel bad for the guy at this point.

Ohhh hey thanks Blatche! How did you know i needed to blow my nose? *give it a good blow, throw jersey in bin*

For real, i kind of feel sorry for him.

Hopefully he uses the boo birds for motivation in the offseason, instead of just sulking and eating donuts the whole time and blaming everyone else instead of taking resposibility, which is probably how he'll play it.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Did you see the flyer for the party he was hosting after the game? Lol, you weren't playing because you're fat but you're throwing the official last game, didn't make the playoffs club party? Get out of town and never come back.

I didnt watch many games this season but from what I can see Seraphin is the real deal. He has a shooting touch, he can post, he can bang....and Nene is a real Center. Couple that with Veseleys athleticism, Singleton, Booker and you have some pretty nice pieces in the front court. Were lacking some outside shooting at the 4 spot but apart from that I like what we have.
Have NeNe and Seraphin spent any time playing together. Id be curiousl to see how they can play together.

Blache and Lewis (is he even on the team still) are most likely gone

Crawford isnt the answer at the 2 so I say our biggest need in the draft is at the 2. We need a lights out shooter who can defend...not necessarily someone whos going to demand the ball but someone who can compliment what Wall brings to the table

Unless we get the #1 I think we need a starting 2 guard who can shoot and a solid backup pg
If we dont get #1 I would consider trading down a few spots if we can add another pick

I always think Blatche will turn the corner, even when he's talking about 'trying to get back to the player he was' and 'I can't change the player I've been my whole life. I just have to play my own game and do it well'. Still pulling for you Dray, you got it buddy, I'm on your side for as long as you're a Wizard my man.

That said I had to laugh when I hear him saying he just let the "boos" get to him, and I hear it: "I let the booze get to me" and "I just let the booze get me down..." Sing it bluesman Dray.

Really, before I get back into cheerleader mode, still in snark mode, though it may be true: dude should change his number to "1" for 'One Day at a Time". You know: Work the program. Submit to a higher authority. Give me the strength to change the things I can, the courage to accept the things I can't and the wisdom to know the difference.

Seriously though, I'm irreligious, but a spiritual person. Seems to me you have to honor the 2nd chance you were given back when you were shot getting out of the car with Party John.

Truth is I'd be happy to take back any and all of the late season crew on reasonable deals.

James Singleton, no other Single1on like him
Mo Almond, Mo Money
Mo Evans, No Problems
Cartier Martier
even Mase --the Maser the microwave laser-- who it made me happy to see was on the bench for this final game despite being 'cut'.

I like the energy and fire and feistiness from this bunch. Love the overseas experience, DLeague desperation. Veteran attitude, willingness to work. And chemistry. We'll add one or more solid pieces of youth talent from the draft, maybe pull in a free agent at a key position, but if we keep this crew any youth will be surrounded by mentors and good attitudes and hard workers. Without the mandate to suck towards a draft pick and play only the youth, we can experience winning and put together a few of these sorts of games. And there will be minutes available because of that.

Yes there are better talents who may be available, but chemistry counts for a lot. Short deals, with no major cap hit, a few wins and streaks and suddenly and this crew are fine pieces, good assets even as filler in trade as needed.

Yes, depending on how the draft works-out, bring everybody back, including Witt, it's the best "team-ball" I've seen the Wizards play in years (with Crawford out)

+1

I don't think there will be room for all of those guys after the draft, but I'd definitely like to see a bunch of them back. At the top of my list are Cartier Martin, James Singleton, and Roger Mason. I feel like those guys are Wizards, not just random mercenaries. They were part of the turnaround.

Love Mason, but I'd pass on him, give him Ed Tapscotts job :-)
