2-2-2 Rule

Post#1 » by DonVitoMan » Thu Apr 26, 2012 5:47 pm

Alright guys I've been watching baseball for many years now, not just the Jays but hundreds of other games. There is a fun rule that I have noticed and I've honestly only seen it been broken 2 times. The rule is: when the count is 2-2 and there are 2 outs...nothing ever happens. This meaning nothing ever happens on offence. There wont be a base hit, or any offence generated from the batters box. The pitch will either be fouled off, a ball, or a strikeout. Just wanted to share this with you guys because it is now time for me to not keep it to myself and share it. When watching Jays games it's pretty reassuring when their batter is up with 2-2-2 in place. Just something I always think about when watching baseball now and Im happy to pass tho son to you guys. Just keep this in mind when watching games now and you will see, 2-2-2...nothing ever happens.

Your mind will be blown:

Phillies up 2 in the second half of the second inning with two men on, two men out, second base open in a 2-2 count.
