Jazz lose Coin Toss for 2012 GSW pick

Sorry, but I need somewhere to discuss this. GSW fans please stay away.

When exactly is the Coin Toss, and how is it done? Do representatives show up from each team for an actual coin toss, or do the league offices just handle it?

When and how will they announce the outcome?

League officials handle it, it will be done at noon today, and the results should released pretty quickly thereafter.

Not to put too much pressure on it, but the future of the Jazz may be determined at noon today. Getting another top 10 pick, when you are as good as we are going forward can be the difference between a solid playoff team and an elite team for several years.

Noon Eastern Time? Will they announce it to the team, and then the team announce it through KFAN or something? I wonder if it will be on the NBA website.

Apparently it's not even a real coin flip. It's just a random drawing. This makes it MUCH easier for Stern to rig it. I hope he chooses us! #fingercrossed #frozenenvelope

I'm pretty convinced we won't get it, and I'm still happy with everything we got in the trade.

Favors is already making this trade a steal, very possible that last night would have been Deron's last in a Jazz uniform had we kept him.

We could end up with two picks next year which could still really help, I think we'll have a pretty good idea of what we have with all of our young guys next season, and two picks could really help us fill in some positions of need.

I love that we found out the Cavs won it within about 10 minutes, we however are into our second hour of waiting.
