I was doing the
http://espn.go.com/nba/lottery2012/mockdraft

thing tonight, trying to lift my spirits about the Suns being in the lottery again only to have the Blazers win 3 times in my 15 attempts. Just thought I'd share, if the Suns dont get it I'd like to see my hometown Blazers get the first pick.

Which 2nds do we have?

#20 and #21? And didn't we acquire from the trade with the Rockets?
Dammit...:

Portland got the Minnesota 2nd from Houston in the Camby deal, so, right now, the Blazers have #6 + #11 + #40 + #41

The Blazers have the #10 and #11 picks in the 2nd round or #40 and #41 overall picks.

The ESPN lottery generator has Drummond dropping to around 5. If the Nets pick stays around the 5-7 spot, I wonder if Portland could snag him or combine both picks to move up a slot or two to grab him if needed.

Kendal Marshall is all over the boards. Some have him being a fringe lottery guy, others have him top 10.

I tried the lottery thingy 10 times. The Nets won once and were #3 three times. The Blazers always finished #11.

Sigh

If Drummond falls to us at the nets pick, i'd say grab him. However, I definitely don't think he is worth giving up both picks to get. He may be solid defensively, but he seems to have Greg Oden Syndrome (I would really rather be doing something else, but since I am 7' tall and athletic, everyone is making me play basketball). I couldn't stand rooting for Greg because of that, and if we give up a bunch to get Drummond, I expect i will feel the same way about him. However, if we don't give up a ton to get him, and don't expect him to be a savior, then I think he could have an effective role as a defensive center with limited offensive production.

Does anyone know specifically when the coin tosses are supposed to happen? I thought I read somewhere they would happen today?

Just various Twitters of Jazz and Warriors journalists.

Matt Steinmetz ‏ @MSteinmetzCSN
The drawing to break ties is at 11 a.m. West Coast time. It is not televised.
