Yep. I'm even more disappointed now that we didn't make it.

Why would we have beaten the Bulls without Rose? They are far better than plenty of teams we lost to and are the exact kind of team that thumps us, all defense and rebounding.

They would have crushed us in 5-6 games.

Thibs is one of the worst coaches I've ever seen when it comes to playing star or key players late in meaningless games. What an idiot (in that regard). Rose, who is coming back from injury and clearly isn't 100%, is in the game when he had a chance to sub him out at the 3 minute mark when Collins basically conceded the game when he took a TO and subbed in a scrub lineup down 16. Deng hurt his wrist this year playing meaningless minutes in a game that was already decided.

My best friend is a Bulls fan and he's ready to punt babies. His #1 complaint about Thibs is how he needlessly rides his starting players. His #2 complaint is how they go iso Rose instead of pick and roll at the end of games. Thibs is a great coach, but he is seriously flawed (**** brain dead) in these two aspects of the game.

So Rose has really done his ACL/MCL?

I wouldn't be worried about him just missing this year, but a substantial proportion of next year as well...

The Knicks/Heat game was one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen in my life, especially in the first half. Van Gundy was beside himself with Lebron's flops and I don't blame him. I wish there was a youtube video compiling all of his flops this afternoon because they were just outrageous and obvious.

It's like the refs had a vendetta against JR Smith and Tyson Chandler, it was sick. I'm not saying they would have won or that it would have been close, but CALL THE GAME THE RIGHT WAY. Give the Heat enough credit, they don't need a lopsided officiated game to win, my god. That was an embarrassment for the NBA.

Exactly what I was thinking. It's almost May. If he's back by February he's done extremely well.

This is literally the only complaint about Thibodeau. This is absolutely nothing new for him in his time as coach. There's no excuse for why Rose should have been in the game. None.

I think critiquing whether a guy should have been in the game or not in the game is a non starter. In the NFL, getting a guy off the field when the game is in hand has some merits. Violent hits are common. But in the NBA, these guys are playing basketball all week long, both on the court and in practice. This type of thing could happen at any time. If you get to a point where you are nervous your star might get hurt when he is on the court, I think it will ruin the guys confidence and effectiveness.

In the case of Rose, people have been speculating that he makes too many sharp cuts and has been an injury waiting to happen.

Some guys have naturally well designed muscle structures in the feet and knees and some guys have structures that are less than optimal ala Mike Redd. We will find out with Rose if this was a one off or the start of major problems.

lmao. This team sucks too much to make the playoffs, but they are going to beat the number one seed, or even have a chance for that matter?

okayyyyyyyyyy

FIRE THIBEDOUX!

I got suspended for going to the Bulls board for saying he left his starters in up 30 against the Bucks late into the game and said it would come back to bit them...and it sure has.

Rose is done now. So are Bulls and so is the coach. He is on a 1 year deal too isnt he? They should hire back Scott Skiles. Atleast he has sense enough and the balls enough to bench anyone when it is time... I told you.

Up 12 and the game well in hand and you know Rose needs rest and to be handled lightly coming back...and he is in there with less then 2 minutes at home.

If the Bucks had made the playoffs maybe they could have gotten out of the first round. Kharma.

It is insane. I just texted my buddy (who is probably murdering his family as we speak, though his family is a GF and 3 cats and a dog so no biggie).

Anyway, I told him that it is ludicrous that a guy clearly as smart as Thibs doesn't understand the risk/reward ratio when it comes to late game minutes. He just blew the chance at a championship, and Zuesnour forbid, future championships (depending upon how well Rose recovers) for 3 minutes of playing time in a game that had an expected outcome of a 99% of a Bulls win considering how stellar the Bulls bench is at D. Their isn't a single legitimate argument why the reigning MVP, who has missed many recent games and clearly isn't 100%, should be playing when the opposing coach calls a TO at the 3 minute mark and puts in a bunch of bench players.

This is all on Thibs. I only hope Rose fully recovers. What a **** joke. I'm pissed and I barely watched the Bulls this year. Thibs insistence on riding his players this way is shameful.

It's like basketball 'Gods' want the Heat to win the ring this year. The Celtics/Green/imploding debacle, the Howard drama/injury and now Rose doing his ACL. **** I hope OKC or even the Lakers beat them in the end.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
