Finding a gem in the 2nd round

Post#1 » by Jefff » Sun Apr 29, 2012 1:09 am

besides surprises in the lottery, this year we'll have just the 17th pick in the 2nd round.

However, KOC has already found some gems in the 2nd round.

What's your gem?

draftexpress is picking for us Kile o'Quinn from Norfolk State.

I just saw him once, but i was pretty impressed. Anyway, there's other good defensive bigs, like Robert sacre from Gonzaga.

Scott Machado or Darius Miller.

Machado was the PG from Iowa, I believe he led the country in APG.

One of those Marquette Players - Jae Crowder or Darius Johnson Odom

For whatever reason Marquette players never get respect they deserve

Machado would be a good bookend to Millsap: guy who led the country in a statistical category, but wasn't on anyone's radar and ended up in the second round.

I think Machado will rise into the first round, but if he doesn't that would be a nice pick.

Oh no this team do not need any more bigs, especially defensive bigs. This team needs promising guards.

The Jazz need to find replacements for Harris and Howard. Jae Crowder and Machado could be nice fits but think one or both could move up to the first round after the combine and workouts.

Robert Sacre's a similar player: strong and big enough to patrol the paint, good bball iq, nice shot. Not speedy nor athletic but i think he can find a niche in the nba

Some of the guys I like that should be available in the 2nd round are: Quincy Acy, Drew Gordon, Machado, Will Barton.

I think Jones from West Virginia will be a good backup.
