I got to see him in person once at Trenton, you can just tell how he was toying with the hitters. I saw two games online also, hes fun to watch. Hopefully some AAA are on YES on the Yankee off days and he pitches a few so we can see him.
You can youtube some clips just to see what he throws, there is definitely a lot on there.

Oh okay...you can check this out:

Just watching his pinpoint location and how he keeps his fastball down...plus his ridiculous 12-6 curve

Only thing i worry about Hughes is that there is a ton of hype on him.If he doesnt live up to expectations then the Media will be on his ass and the fans might turn on him if he doesnt live up to those expectations.
I hope he does live up to those expectations or gets close to them.He seems like a good guy and it will be horrible if he begins to fu** up especially in NY

The second there is a major injury or Igawa/Pavano force their way out of the rotation. One thing they won't do with Hughes is bring him up and down, such as spot starts for a one time injury replacement. When he gets here, it wll be for good...so it will come when there is an open spot in the rotation that will be there for a while.

I've got a question for you... Say Karstens is still injured, Pavano and Rasner have pitched poorly. Who would be first option for a spot start? Would it be Clippard or Ohlendorf? Steven Jackson? Matt DeSalvo?

If you're talking about late April, then I'd think DeSalvo would come first because he is further along in terms of age and experience. None of the other 3 have had AAA experience, so I can't really say with much certainty who would get here first. I'd say it goes DeSalvo-Ohlendorf-Clippard-Jackson. Now if it was mid-June instead, Hughes and Sanchez would probably come before all of them.

Panic Move? What are you saying, if ANYTHING weve been overcautious with him, 9/10 would of had him up already if not starting the season with them. The only reason he's been in the minors is to get his pitch counts up and work into shape. Pitching to AAA is like major leaguer scrubs. He's not going ot learn nething htere, hes got to learn in MLB and now we can only pray he does what we all think hes going to so we dont have a media crisis

yes it's a little bit of a panic move , because what it means is you don't believe that you have 3 solid starting pitchers, I pray for him on Thursday he is going against MLB veteran players.
