Can someone tell Kidd, it's okay to take open 2 pointers? He just stands there not knowing what to do.
And late in games, it should be Kidd and Terry handling the ball.
Carlisle is also a timeout machine. The man just doesn't care.

Dallas can beat OKC. Starting to look like last year. Dallas's defense is really making them work for thier shots a little.
Thier defense was telling. This is a road game. OKC has something to prove. Dallas doesn't. Dallas turns the ball over less and they win. Simple as that. Its was a good game but someone had to win. Could have went either way. Durant made shots when it mattered.
If Dallas wins the next game they steal home court advantage.

I think it's funny people are talking about unfair officiating after Dirk was blatantly hacked on his first 3 shots with no calls (and had a few other missed calls) and Harden was getting regular season calls. I picked Dallas in 6 and for now it seems my prediction will come true.

Seems OKC is too inexperienced. Dallas' defense is pretty good. Held 2nd best offensive team to 99pts on the road.
Mavs just ""lost" a close game by 1 pt with a chance to win.
If the Mavs shoot better and turn the ball over less (giving them more possessions) they win easily.
Take a look at these stats. These are high power offenses in a duel to the 'chip.

Lucky shot, Dallas deserved to win that game.
Still think OKC has the best chance to beat Miami though so I'm fine.

while Durant shot 37% from the field
Terry shoots 80% from the field and 80% from 3
Marion shoots 60% from 3
and Harden only had 7 shots
... I would be amazed that we won. That said, i'll gladly take the win and move on to game 2.
Oh, brother. Quit acting like everything went bad and you still won. You can't take some cherry-picked stats from 1 game and deduce anything. You can do the same thing on the other side. "If you'd told me Ibaka would have had 22 pts on 75% shooting and Westbrook would've shot 13-23, and blah blah,no way I woulda thought we'd be in the game". Sounds kinda ridiculous, no?
I disagree. I felt that Dallas threw there best punch at OKC an still fell short. Very telling IMO
Ok. Keep counting on Ibaka's three pointers and homer calls for the rest of the series.

blah blah blah. Thunder won the first game. 1st game winners win the series ... what? ... 80% of the time?
Thunder wins the series. Don't know how many games. Don't care. Ready for this year to be over. The Mavericks' front office didn't give a crap about defending their championship this year, just wanted to clear space to rebuild. We'll see if it was worth it.

I really want this series to go to 7, best opening game so far, and I think the most interesting matchup now.

Dallas missed such a big chance to put a mountain of pressure on the young Thunder by letting game one slip away. Dirk's comments about how the team has let games like this slip away all year are both truthful and telling.
In last years playoffs we witnessed both the Thunder and Mavs get better during the course of the games. It will be interesting to see which team has more room to improve during this series.
I thought Scott Brooks did a good job in this match up with Carlisle. Eliminating Mohammad from the rotation and giving increased minutes to Ibaka and Perkins paid off. He was able to keep Durant focused on helping his team despite struggling with his shot and he kept his team from panicking despite several 8 point leads by Dallas throughout the game and into the fourth.

That call before the half was huge, dirk called for offensive foul and ibaka knocked down a three..
Dallas deserved the win better, but you know the league wants okc to go through..
Hopefully this ting goes to 7 and becomes an epic series.

There were a few phantom calls on Durant that i saw as well as Harden. BUt the one that pissed me off the most was Carter getting called for the charge when hardens feet were fully moving.
THAT right there is a perfect example of how corrupt the NBA is.

We can talk about this all day. How about harden gets the call every time? He was moving like crazy but carter called for offensive foul?

Exactly....im still wondering how that wasn't called correctly. It was such an easy call to make, There was no forearm pushoff, just a clean drive and hardens feet were moving.
very strange.

home team gets the benfits of the calls most of the time yet the mavs got more free throws and got less fouls called on them. on top of that okc haas durant, wetsbrook, and harden that attack the paint a lot and are good at getting to the line.
dallas choked away the lead at the end, dirk got stripped and turned it over they lost
