Thank god

Post#1 » by Rucari23 » Sun Apr 29, 2012 10:56 pm

Thank god The new york knicks aren't as depressing as you guys are. Better yet, thank god they can't read what you guys are posting. You have all practically given up on a team that has and will show fight. I can guarantee that, even if we lose this series, we wont do it without a fight. Stop crying, act like real fans, Show the team your support and grit. We aren't **** heat fans, we are knicks fans. We have endured years of pain and struggling. We have seen terrible knee injuries and players go down before. We have also seen teams come back from the unthinkable. It may have been a while, but thats why this is a team sport. One player doesn't dictate a win or loss. Dont give up, I bet you the team hasn't.

The response to a tough lloss is always so predictable here. i'm personally much more upset about the possible long term impact Shump's injury will have than losing a game i Miami.

+1 to your post.

We're not winning anything without Shumpert out there. I think the majority of us would still have some hope left if he was available.

Who is, "You guy"

Go check the "Who Still Believes" thread and quote the "you guys".

But anyways, to the "you guys" people, you should read this and have some damn faith in your team.

I agree. It was a big blowout, but people forget that the Heat still get 1 W and the Knicks still get 1 L. 7 game series, anything can happen.

Last year, we lose the first 2 in Boston
Someone like you makes a don't give up thread.
We return to NY get embarrassed
Game 4, we get embarrassed again, but Antony Carter almost saves us, and we lose anyway.

Why should I be confident this year, when we have a tougher opponent, and no respect of the refs?

yeah the reaction here is absurd. At best we had to split the series in Miami. So if we could take down game 2 all will be good.

The thing about this game was the Tyson really wasnt himself and Melo started off ice cold. If Melo gets his shot going early usually he is in store for a big night

To the op, maybe you haven't read all of the threads and posts. Shump aside... It's about the BLATENT control that the NBA enforced on game one. I know some of you don't want to face this fact because it means what you thought was real may no longer be. I have always suspected the NBA for fixing games. I was called crazy etc and then Tim Don confirmed my suspicions. I wanted so badly to believe the NBA was real and that TIm Don was just an isolated incident. So I gave in and believed again. And then whistle city appeared like a flying saucer in the sky. You can pretend that it's all in your mind. I won't- I can't anymore...

So no this isn't about crying-whining-etc. This is about something that we have seen before and something that I witnessed in 2012 with my own eyes and so did MANY other fans from other teams as well. We know what we saw...

If I knew the outcome of the series in advance, I wouldn't watch.

How long have you been a fan? How long have you've been disappointed, some of us have been with this team longer than you have probably been able to spell knicks, so while I agree, let's not give up on our team, I understand the loss of faith at times, I have these feelings at times myself but you can bet inside I say we're gonna kick our opponents ass next game!!! So I understand and respect what you're trying to say, I will respectfully advise you that you're comments are very general and need to be more specific for accuracy.

Word of advice, many like myself are very sensitive during these times with our Knicks.......that is all!!

I'm trying so hard to be nice, nothing against you....yet!!!! You are forgiven because I am sure you do not have a real clue about us long time diehard Knick Fans!!

Thank god the Knicks don't play like the Heat. I would hate to have to root for a team that has no integrity and plays like a bunch of pussys

Ive been a knicks fan since I was 4. Thats 20. I can remember the knicks of the 90's. I remember watching all the playoff games and the years of no hope. Does that make me any less of a knicks fan? no. Im sure you are an older gentlemen who has felt the pain just as bad as I have. Doesnt matter. Pain is pain, no matter how old or how new.

I agree with you, I definetly see your point. I'm over 50, so you see where I'm coming from and being born in bensonhurst and raised in C.I. (I'm sure you know where that is) I don't need to say any more. We sometimes get down on our boys, but we love them and have been listening to haters like J.B., Barkley, etc. for far too long and yearn to shut them up, but good. Many of us will go through this emotional swings about our team but when we finally win it all, we will make up for all of this!!

I appreciate and respect your response and opinion. We may lose, but we will never give up and we will never, ever lay down!!!

"Gil wrote"]We're not winning anything without Shumpert out there. I think the majority of us would still have some hope left if he was available." That makes it harder true, and I can understand that this lost was disheartening, and it feels like we couldn't get a break. However this is not the time to give up. I been rooting for the Knicks for over 40 years. Don't let the ballboy status fool you. This is the time when the team and the fans suppose to show their heart. Lets hope this injury doesn't take away from Shumpert game.

Return to New York Knicks
