Now you are assuming that Goran wants to come back here. And assuming that this FO wants to admit that they are the three stooges when it comes to making deals.

Still don't ever see Amare in a Suns uniform again. And I for one am glad. Now if we had grabbed either David Lee or Scola that offseason, and kept the rest of our team together........ :o Now that would have been great.

I think the team is willing to do whatever it takes to move Amare. And if the deal saves them $42 million over three years, I don't think it will take a pipe to make that happen.

Agreed but Knicks really aren't interested in saving $42M over three years. If they could move Amare they would bring in pieces that fit better with Melo and Chandler. One thing Dolan has done over the years is make crazy azz trades to try to improve the Knicks. Can you say Marbury and Penny. I don't think Childress for Amare is out of the question when it gives the Knicks such flexibility.

Standing around on the 3 point line waiting for the ball is about all our team does now-a-days. Gortat woke up one day and found he had gone from a back-up C role to the number one scoring option on the Phoenix Suns. Everyone else stands on the perimeter waiting to jack 3's.......and we didn't do a very good job of that this year, especially Frye.

One thing I like about Telfair is the speed with which he takes it to the rack at times. I really miss that speed on the starting unit. Childress also brings that same kind of athleticism in taking it to the rack.

Of course it's a pipe dream, this is RealGM after all

However, if Knicks really really really wanted to get rid of Amare it's gonna cost them. I don't see another team just agreeing to take him off their hands just to help them out.

Would it be reasonable to trade Amare for Childress straight up. Suns give the Knicks about $14M per year in cap space. Knicks do it because Amare and Melo don't play well together. Suns get a vital piece to the puzzle, get rid of player (Childress) who just hasn't fit in, and then go after Ray Allen.

Nash/Telfair
Allen/Redd
Dudley/Hill
Amare/Morris
Gortat/Frye

Let the flaming begin!

I feel like the kid in class about grade three, waving his arm frantically yelling, "Me! Me!"

First, the numbers, even if we did want to. he's making how much a year for how long? Three more years at $18-$19 mil per .

Uninsured.

My $.02 - no, thanks. I love Stat but I hate that contract and now with his back problems? Yeesh ...

They would have to take Warrick and Chilly and give us Shumpert and picks for several years for us to even think about it.

We'd have just enough to re-sign Nash and be no better - unless we traded Gortat for help. Amar'e has to lay with a strong defensive front court partner, and Gortat isn't him. Now, we trade Gortat for a re-signed Garnett, maybe. Then we have two PFs. maybe we could also get Lou.

But new york is going to have to bite the pillow to get anyone to take on Stat's deal, if you get my drift.

I 'improved' an idea from the trade board.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=723a8mz

Just insert Nash (s&t) instead of Childress. We also give up our pick to OKC. OKC signs Grant Hill in free agency.

Suns:

Brooks / Telfair
Harden / Redd
Dudley / Childress
Ibaka / Morris
Frye / Lopez

Not a bad start.
Hill on Nash going to the Lakers: “That’s like transferring from Duke and going to Carolina.”

I like the defensive turn with bringing in Ibaka at the 4. We would probably flip the C position and go Lopez/Frye. Harden of course is just a complete stud

Babby:

"We need to find a dynamic scorer... we need to improve our rebounding... we need to get younger."

On Lopez: "It's quite likely if not certain we will match any offers he receives."

On the free-agent crop of 2012: "It is what it is. If we can get the right players, we will. If not, we will be careful."

He will also give the QO to Brooks.

I like all of his statements, even though they don't mean much at this point.

Babby's comments are so generic that they leave more questions than they provide answers. Getting younger could simply mean not re-signing Nash and Hill.

As far as the rebounding thing, that is great, as long as our coach actually plays that(those) players. But getting them, and not playing them will completely negate getting them in the first place.

Well I really hope Lopez doesn't get high offers. :D I don't think he is worth more than he is currently getting, definitely nothing like what Jordan got. Hopefully if he gets a good offer, we could do a sign and trade, and at least get a pick out of him.

The Brooks QO is a no brainier, they can't just let him go for nothing after what we gave up to get him.

EXECUTIVE
(pause) We at the network want a dog with attitude. He's edgy, he's "in your face." You've heard the expression "let's get busy"? Well, this is a dog who gets "biz-zay!" Consistently and thoroughly.

KRUSTY
So he's proactive, huh?

EXECUTIVE
Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that. I'm fired, aren't I?

In response to Lon Babby:

Overtime pay doesn't mean you're going to go out and buy tickets to suns games" sunsdeuce said. "We could also mean we're going to make one-sided cardinals fans and there is a distinct possibility that we dont buy suns jerseys this summer.

"We've worked hard to put ourselves in this position to have this kind of flexibility to have a range of opportunities other then the suns but I am absolutely determined that we are going to be disciplined in how we approach the suns organization because we cannot get ourselves right back in the same spot that we were in by buying tickets to bad suns games, not assessing the suns properly and not making the right choices in terms of watching this organization at work."

Here is what Babby said
