The Post's Brooklyn reporter, Rich Calder, writes that he's privy to some of the details of the Nets new uniform, although they have been telegraphed by the team and its executives. Calder writes that the uniforms will have "BROOKLYN" (in capital letters) on both the home and away uniforms. Only the Knicks and Mavericks have their city's name on both.

The black and white motif will continue with the Nets wearing white with black trim at Barclays Center and black with white trim on the road. He also writes that the Nets' shield logo will appear on the left side of the uniform shorts.

I think the jerseys are gonna be awesome!

I still don't like the primary shield logo much at all and am disappointed in the bland black and white.

Love the secondary logo though and some of the shirts are off the hook.

I figured there would be SOME color in it, like blue or something.

It is a nice logo, and the clothing apparel looks sick, but it gets really dull and bland at times, no?

We've become Spurs East...in terms of look, not play, lol.

I was thinking the same with the blue, especially since the Nets have a history of wearing blue and Barclays' company colour is blue. They really need to upgrade the circle logo as the primary one.

^^Yormark said that they're both primary logos.

However, I think the shield and the word "Brooklyn" beneath it are going to be the ones you see in video games and on paper because it has the city and team name.

^The shorts look sick, with that logo as well, not really feeling the shields over the number though. But other than that the whole thing looks great

From the same guy on that website, he made out a mock up of our court. I took it and added the shield logo because I read somewhere the shield logo would be beside the paint. So what do you's think of the court?

For comparisions, here's Houston's floor plan (not in colour but so you get the idea)

I wanted to add an almost Brooklyn bridge type thing about the words Brookyln Nets behind each net with like a large column on both corners with a suspension line going straight across to the other side just mimicking the Brooklyn Bridge.

Looking at the other courts, it looks like you should probably make the 3pt lines black.

--Merchandise sales through Brooklynnets.com this week were more than double the team’s total sales for the 2010-11 season. Additionally, Modell's, the Nets' official sporting goods retailer, sold more Nets merchandise during the first day of the launch than all of last season.

What does that say about New York?
What does that say about New Jersey?

It could just be the hype. When the Sonics moved to OKC was there a reaction like this? Can't seem to recall it right now

No, the hype wasn't as big as this.

Also, OKC has sellout crowds since the Thunder are the only professional sports team in town.

However, Brooklyn alone has 3 million people and we're already reaching out to the other boroughs and bringing some NJ fans over to Brooklyn.

This is pretty big.

Random side comment here but anyone else slightly sad that white will be our home jersey's and not black?

I just had this mental picture of a black court, black seats, black box threatre lighting and everyone dressed in black for the #BlackOut for the Brooklyn playoffs.

Now that can't happen, white would just be the same as the Heat and wouldn't have the same pop as the entire cloud dressed in black, would add crazy atmosphere with a black out crowd

The Lakers are the only team in the league that have a home jersey that isn't white and they've had it sense the 60s. I'm not surprised that no one else has it.

I actually prefer the white jersey, so would rather see that more compare to the black one. Also we've been using white jerseys during the NJ days. Nice to see that we're still keeping some aspects of NJ to Brooklyn

I haven't formulated an opinion yet on either the colors or the logo, but I will say a few things:

1) The shield logo should have that netted effect that has been going around. That makes it pop that much more.
2) The token logo should say Brooklyn and Basketball, not Brooklyn and New York, though I understand why they would put New York.
