Well I'm more of a Lakers fan, Magic was my idol.
As for Jonas, I really hope he turns out well, that would be great for our NT (and Raptors of course! :D). And yes I like him as a player

I wasn't talking about rugby club teams. No one who plays rugby watches that rubbish, we just care about the national teams, and sevens(the backs especially).

EDIT: The only rugby union that matters is National teams. (and that is the truth dude, hate to break it to you -club rugby is a very small market, like you have to work at the post office just to play it)

Again...not the point. You picked on European basketball because they have advertising on their uniforms. I am showing you that advertising on uniforms is quite common around the world.

Your counter-argument is that the All-Blacks have no advertising.

To which I pointed out that no national team - soccer, basketball, rugby, or otherwise - has advertising on it.

EDIT2: As for my basketball knowledge, it is what it is, take it or leave it, I am just an observer like you, maybe I see things you don't maybe you see things I don't... your opinion means jack to me, it realy does, and we can both pause and laugh about how jack is spelled with the lowercase.

If my opinion means nothing to you, then why are you participating in a forum where the express purpose is to share opinions?

And it isn't your opinions that are the problem. It is the insulting manner in which you present them.

Good examples. Actually I've seen Jonas finsihing with his left a lay up, but that was LKL game and that was really easy lay up. Also saw him trying to do that in trainings so I think it's pretty much the same as with jumshot - he can develop that and works at it, but still not polished thing. He just sticks to that strong move to the right and finishing witg right. There's no problem if he's posting up in the left side of offensive court - he can go right for a luy up or hook or he can spin and finish the way he did in your example. BUT, the probem is when he gets the ball in the right side and than usually he tries to pump fake and to go right, other than that he doesn't know what to do. So for him it's a must to learn to penetrate to left and to strat using his left hand. On other hand, as long as he will have someone to play pick and rolls with (Calderon) his offence will be OK and he will grab some of offensive rebounds, tip ins. I still think he'll be pretty OK in the first NBA season with better passers that Raptors has, but he will have some out days like last night against CSKA. And yes, he's tired. We know NBA is even harder at this point, but Jonas still going against way bigger players and played a lot when Samardzistki was injured.

Important thing guys - to be patient in the very first season in NBA. I don't think Jonas needs 3 years - I think it's something like 1,5 - 2.0 for optimally bulking up.

Here is the only game where I saw JV finish with his left (mediocre Juventus team):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQAwO-uyHaw&feature=plcp (2:47)

And, yes, from what I have seen in his warmups, JV uses his left hand. Another concern is that he used to be very effective with a baby-hook (the one without taking extra steps, not the one (which he uses now) when he dribbles to the right, takes two steps and either finishes or passes out to the 3pt line), but almost exclusively stops using it when playing tougher competition. When you have such length, good touch and hook release (which he has), then it is a crime not to practice this move to perfection and add it as a main (or even lethal) weapon.

You noticed the Adidas symbol, right? Adidas are the main sponsor and uniform supplier of the All blacks. Basically, his example was completely wrong. Pretty sure there's also a Nike swoosh on our team Canada hockey jerseys, too.

Jonas is bipolar. First quarter - he did not defend at all, Traore scored like crazy on him. In second quarter - his defense is skin tight, Traore has no chances to score...

Does this game mean anything? Isn't it for 3rd place (best of 1)?

The players look indifferent out there.

Or perhaps Rytas guards are a bit better on the 2nd half so Jonas doesn't have to jump to Lokomotiv guards when they outplay Rytas guards? Hence Traore isn't getting fed with balls and can't score easy baskets.

Why did Redikas go pro? He's only 19.

Now he can't play in the NCAA... may have improved the fundamentals of his game better and would be a stronger presence on Rytas in the future

* That was a nasty spin move and dunk by that Russian guy
