Finally, I'll say that if Favors had Jefferson's spot all year, Favors would be marginally better than he is right now, and the team wouldn't have made the playoffs. Maybe that would have been better (?)

Thanks for the input, Ty. How many more games can we expect to lose by 30+?

From Hollinger: "Derrick Favors has played 47 minutes ... and is a plus-6. The other 49 minutes the Jazz are minus-52."

well i mean it's a statistic. and not one that hollinger created. so i guess in conclusion: don't be a dumb.

Like I said,Jefferson sucked, but your delusional if you think Corbin or any other coach is gonna sit him for Favors at this point.

If you'll recall it was pretty much unanimous on this board that Al is our MVP. Like it or not we wouldn't be in the playoffs without him.

Jefferson's 10 votes to Millsap's 9 is what passes for unanimous these days?

A smart coach would. But yeah, it won't happen.

Okay, shall we say unanimous co-mvp. haha, doesn't change what I've said.

Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure Al is in the top 3 or 4 centers in the league in efficiency. I agree with most people here that he's not a long term solution, but to say that Ty should just have a knee-jerk reaction and swap in Favors at this point is not a realistic option.

...starting the "big" lineup on the other hand, wouldn't be a drastic change from what we've been doing, and I would love to see it.

it's not even that al shouldn't be on the court. favors should be guarding duncan instead of chasing bonner and diaw around on the three point line. he's not helping you out there and al is getting worked inside.

A coach who gave a **** about stupid things like defense and rebounding would give some of Al's minutes to Favors, but, luckily for us, those things don't figure into Ty's thinking.

Game 3 i'd change ALL: start AL Favors Sap Hayward Harris, 2nd unit Kanter ,Favors-Sap, carroll-howard-burks, tinsley ; another things: i'd use more Hayward and even burks as playmakers, and move Harris as the off guard (same for Blake Ahearn)

Are you **** serious? Efficiency??? Did you even watch the last game? Every time he touches the **** ball he shoots it...and lots of times he misses....And I like Al, but to say he's mister efficiency is **** ridiculous.

So Many dillusional posters the last couple of days...
Jazz_Man_86 on Favors:

"He is not Dwight Howard. He's max is 20 + 13 + 2 = is this a supers tats? No."

Dwight 2011-2012 - 20.6 Points - 14.5 Rebounds - 2.1 Blocks

I know you're not talkin about me Spoon: NBA.com...efficiency ratings

PLAYER NAME, TEAM NAME GP MPG PTS EFF RPG APG STPG BLKPG EFF48M EFF
1 Dwight Howard , ORL
54 38.3 20.6 26.4 14.5 1.9 1.5 2.15 33.0 26.4
2 Andrew Bynum , LAL
60 35.3 18.7 24.2 11.8 1.4 0.4 1.93 33.01 24.2
3 Al Jefferson , UTA
61 34.0 19.2 23.0 9.6 2.2 0.8 1.66 32.46 23.0
4 Marcin Gortat , PHX
66 32.0 15.4 20.6 10.0 .9 0.7 1.5 30.92 20.6

Web IV...pay attention to what is being said in a post before you jump in man. I am saying Ty can't pull Al as a starter at this point, and it is unrealistic to expect him to do so.

NBA.com's "efficiency" stat is about on par with Late Larry's "Batting Average." Here's their "advanced" formula:

((Points + Rebounds + Assists + Steals + Blocks) - ((Field Goals Att. - Field Goals Made) + (Free Throws Att. - Free Throws Made) + Turnovers))

Pretty heavy stuff there.

Look at the list 1-10 and tell me its not accurate though...dwight is best C in the league and Bynum a close second. Even if the system is flukey, I don't think Al belongs anywhere below 5.
