I think Gerald Wallace is a great addition at the right price, but it seems like whichever team trades for Dwight Howard is going to be expected to acquire him. I mean, speculation sure, but there is no other logical explanation for that trade the NJ made unless they got some kind of agreement in place and instructions from Dwight.

I don't get this. If the Lakers traded for Dwight, they would also be expected to trade for Gerald? Makes no sense.

I'd sign him for a three year deal with the 2nd year being a team, and the 3rd year being a player option. Not sure about the annual amount of cash but I wouldn't break the bank for him. It should certainly be less than 10 million a year. He's just too old for our core and I'm afraid his body will not keep up with his playing style.
I love him as a player, though, so I'd be quite enthusiastic if he was signed to a great deal. He will most likely look for a big paycheck, though, considering it'll be his last big one.

He's looking for a long deal and big bucks, so I wouldn't sign him. The shortest deal he'd be looking for is 3 years guaranteed+1 team option. He turned down a 11.5M player option for next season, so there's no way in hell he'd sign for less than 10M.
