Instead of switchign back up, Melo went off for another 8 or so points and go Melo going. I'm ok with the switch at first(give LeBron rest) but after Melo gets hot, you need to adjust. He didn't.

That's a tough situation though because Battier's strength is his defense, and you don't want to damage his confidence by switching it up on him. Spo has to look at the big picture not just round 1 game 2. Plus he probably wanted to give Lebron a little rest off Melo for a bit.

And FWIW I don't think Battier guarded Melo for the rest of the game if I remember. So he did make the adjustment you wanted. Just he wanted to give Battier a chance to redeem himself. Which you have to do with a player like Battier.

It still kills me that lbj has gone his whole career without playing with a starting true PG

Miami went the 3 max route. When you do that, how exactly do you find and pay a PG who can play PG? Also, isn't the point with LeBron, that you don't need to have a normal PG? You run the point play through LeBron, and are able to put in a shooter who can defend at the PG spot.

Reality is that, with 3 max, you hope they dominate and you can fill the rest with inexpensive role players.

This is a team that strives for greatness, so anything short of perfection falls to scrutiny.

Yet still, there's no reason for this loss. You can't blame the players for not shooting as well in a hostile environment.

BUT, you can blame the coach for not figuring out the best strategies and lineups.

Oh yeah and what NBA coach doesn't give their players plays on offense? I defy anybody to name one.

WHY DOES SPOELSTRA NOT PLAY JAMES JONES?!?!?!?!?!

whatever man ,,, this team is not fun to watch. all this talent and we go scoreless for 8 mins?

seriously. this teaming up has been a failure, in my eyes.
