A guy that is a legit 7 footer, 260+lbs with decent mobility should be a servicable NBA player.

Did he win any honours at the NCAA D1 level? Going up through high school he was all size and very little else. It is quite possible he is a vastly different player now though. If he were there at our late second parking him in Europe is a great idea because that is probably is good as it gets.

I don't get why his stock is (seemingly) so low. He's not even listed as a 2nd rounder on DX.

Of course these mock drafts are completely out to lunch at times. I would be surprised if a team didn't use a 2nd round pick on him.

I think the Raptors should draft him & have Gheridini find him a team overseas for a couple of seasons so we retain his rights.

His problem is his lack of solid rebounding stats for a guy 7' tall against smaller guys. I think he will be drafted and have a decent career. Here is the scouting report from nbadraft.net posted early Jan 2012

Weaknesses: He often plays small, not using his size and strength advantages to bully opponents … Lacks length. Arms appear to be very short for his height ... Not a great leaper; doesn’t explode off the floor … Not a great rebounder for his size, only averaging around ~7 boards a game during his senior year (and that’s a career high) … Should consistently dominate the inferior big men he faces in the WCC, but often doesn’t … Doesn’t use his body to establish deep post position nearly enough … Struggles mightily when double teamed … He doesn’t dunk when he often should. This is due to a combination of keeping the ball low, hesitating, and pump faking too much … Can be inconsistent and disappear for stretches of the game if he’s not receiving touches in the post

Good Lillard video that showcases his work ethic, dribbling abilities, and the fact that he clearly wants to be the best passer he can be. It's too bad we didn't get to see him play with better teammates.

Hi everyone, please sign this petition to get the organization to use Justin Bieber as the Raptors representative at the draft lottery. After the sick child last year, and the old woman the year before, it's clear that you need to mix things up in order to win.

If we send Bieber to the lottery they're gonna drop us as far as they can out of spite. Remember, it's grown ass men running the lottery, not 12 year old girls. Screw using a child's illness to our advantage though, Dan Gilbert is the definition of a douche.

Yeah, but they might think Bieber is lesbionic and grown-ass men are scared of lesbians.

Not a lot of 12 yr old girls who are nba fans...particularly raptor fans. Biebs could be a huge boon in terms of opening up new markets. Also I've seen biebs on the hardwood and he knows how to ball, oh yeah and he's canadian. Man this is such a win now that i think about it.

Hi everyone, please sign THIS petition to NOT get the organization to use Justin Bieber as the Raptors representative at the draft lottery. After the sick child last year, and the old woman the year before, there is obviously no place for a spoiled, rich, brat who needs autotune to sound like he hit his puberty (I thought it was supposed to have the opposite effect? :dontknow:) Furthermore, it would be a travesty to let a national discrace represent our country's only professional basketball team in the NBA and a discrace to our fan base. This move would push the many suicidal fans after years of oppression, over the edge and not even Anthony Davis could save them.

Does Bieber know about this? Doesn't he have to bandwagon with anyone else on May 30th?

Set him up with a contract with Rytas. He can take Vals spot on the roster.

The Raptors can keep tabs on his development just like they did with Jonas.

Level of Happiness based on our draft result:

Tier 1 (Anthony Davis) - through the roof as I believe we would suddenly be a legit young contender in the making because we would have a niche no other team has with 3 skilled borderline 7ftrs just destroying the opposing frontcourt

Tier 2 (Beal) - still going pretty nuts lol I believe he's most likely to be the 2nd best player out of this draft and will be a lot like Eric Gordon when it's all said and done.

Tier 3 (MKG and Drummond) - still super happy and beyond grateful for opposite reasons...MKG I don't believe has superstar potential but without a doubt he will only help further implement Casey's system and take it to a new level...the key will be to get a shooter next to him. Drummond of course is just solely cuz he has the greatest potential of anyone in the draft.

Tier 4 (Barnes, Lamb) - probably the most grateful cuz then someone fell to us. I like TRob and Sully at about the same level but I have zero faith that Bargnani is moved and Amir/Ed aren't going to net us a big enough upgrade

Tier 5 (Lillard, PJ3, Rivers etc) - so basically where we are as it stands now lol F M L....they are all guys I DON'T believe will break out but pray that do obviously since they would be our pick. I rather draft Sully or trade this pick than attempt to stomach these leftovers.

I hope we can get Draymond Green late in the 1st round somehow.

Combo-forward that attacks the glass, and he seems like Casey type player.

I also think he can be an instant leader.

Lamb looks like a great pick but will the Raps say they would rather give those minutes to Barbosa a known quantity who incidentally has found his long ball shot with Indiana? I would hope whoever they target they would be willing to part with the assets required to land them. No stupid half measures. That means if we really want to spring forward they have to at least look at what both Bargs and Demar would fetch. Having those guys or anyone not named Jonas as untouchables is probably the thing that holds us back more than anything else.

At 8th, I would he happy with:

Andre Drummond
John Henson

I'm be okay losing Ed Davis/Amir J.

Aaron Gray/Valunciunas/Alabi
Bargs/Henson/F.A or James Johnson

Moe Harkless is a darkhorse candidate for us. I could definitely see him moving up the boards after workouts.

Harless sure does look quick for his size. Nice potential. Looks like a guy that will get after it in workouts but might struggle with his shot in that setting.

Gteat post JamesNaismith.

I think obtaining Casey players is overated, I hate how everyone wants Casey players. We have alot of Casey players and can round the team's bench out with Casey type players but we need to bring in some new elements to add another dimension to the team Our team in one year has improved drastically in defense, points against and points in the paint almost from coaching alone, why would we continue to bring guys in when we have a horrid offense?

I much rather improve weaknesses than strengths.
