Trade Wish List
Tyreke Evans and Francisco Garcia to Jazz for Millsap and Bell
Jefferson and Harris to Houston for Martin, Scola and Dalambert
Why KIngs do it: They want to dump Evans as he cant play without the ball (such as SG/SF) and they get rid of bad contract Garcia, and they want defensive side kick for Cousins. They like MIllsap alot.
Why Rockets do it: McHale loves Jefferson and they need post up scoring. They lose Martin allowing Lee to start and they hate Martin. Scola a good player but not part of their future. They would also get cap space for 2013 free agents with 2 expiring contracts.
Jazz do it: Get a complete team with inside out game. Defense improves with losing Big Al. Bench looks good too.
Jazz may have to throw a future #1 to get one of these deals done. I know u guys want Jefferson for Iggy but I dont think 76ers do that deal.
PG T. Evans (still better passer than Harris) Watson Ahearn
SG Martin Burks Garcia
C Favors Kanter Dalambert
PF Scola Favors J. Evans
SF Hayward Carroll J. Evans
Championship contender though Martin's injury past and below average defense are issues. Hayward needs to be more consistent on outside shot.
T. Evans not the type of PG we are use to but we just made the playoffs with Harris at PG.

Trade Wish List
I dont think Sap and Bell get us Evans. His stock has dropped but he was a ROY and I don't think they drop him for that. We'd have to give the GSW pick (which id be fine with) or something

Millsap has way more trade value than Tyreke, he's the 4th best player on the 4th worst team in the NBA.

No. Just no.
Reke is a good dude. Most of his bad practices have been actively encouraged by the Maloofs. We can make him better, just sit his ass on the bench, get him away from the bad influences in sacto, and he could be a really, really great player for us.
Just look at what happens when Nick Young went to the clippers, he started playing defense and passing. Jackson went to the spurs, and suddenly looks very unselfish. Westbrook ould have never been the player he is todhay if he was drafted by the kings. We need to take advantage of our franchises strengths and buy low on a guard with Tyrekes upside. We can hold him accountable and surround him with high character guys.

He's been this player for his entire life and I don't know if bad influences really factor into having one of the worst jumpshots in the NBA.
Besides, isn't he a terrible fit with Burks?

He's had incentives to play this way his entire life.
AAU --- Obvious incentive to be a ball dominating dickbag.
Memphis --- I'm sure calipari recruiting him why promising him the starting PG role and him having the ball in his hands all the time. Cal also might be one of the worst skill coaches of all time.
Sacramento --- handed him the keys to the franchise and told him to chuck away to achieve 20-5-5 and ROY. History of failing to develop or push young players.
Players can change (see last post for examples). He needs a little humility by sitting on the bench, and a wake up call by being traded that he isn't gods gift to a franchise. Treat him like we treated favors his first few years and he could be great for us. I'm not concerned with fitting with burks, we can bring one off the bench, maybe burks figures out how to shoot the three, or we trade one (after we raise Tyreke's stock).
This will never happen because our franchise is incredibly risk-averse to a comical degree. So instead we'll buy-high on someone else and be content with sub-all star play from our guards and/or small forward.

Re: Trade Wish List
And I would also veto a trade for Scola. We need two guys who are good defenders to compete. Why cap our upside at "ok" by forfeiting any chance at being an elite defensive unit? The Bulls have like 6 great defenders on their roster, and don't play boozer in crunch time (I think most bulls would rather have not signed him and start Taj instead). The knicks regret signing amare, and he also caps their upside at "solid" because he can't defend at all. OKC is the best offensively team in the league with a combined 14 pts a game from their bigs. We obviously don't have the luxury of KD and Harden, but favors is already far ahead offensively than either ibaka or perkins anyways. We'll be fine offensively from the 4 / 5, we just need to bring it on defense.
I just think we need to stop thinking offense first for our big men spots, and rather think defense first and develop their offense (something far easier to teach imo). Defense can feed the offense, not the other way around. Also, Jefferson might be better than Scola.

Kmart is overrated. Injury prone, and a truly awful defender. Just look at how Houston completely fell apart down the stretch, not sure why you'd want any of those losers besides Lowry or dragic.

Re: Trade Wish List
The only way I would ever even slightly consider Reke on the Jazz is if we ran him as our 2 guard... but even then... he is so ball dominant and is almost entirely an isolation player. I just can't see him being a good "system guy" like we need.
I still would like to know what Mo Williams price tag would be to pry him away from the Clippers. Same for Eric Bledsoe.
I'd still be interested to see what the price for Matthews is, especially after/during this draft. If Portland ends up with the NJ pick along with their own, they could be looking to move Matthews to make room for a young wing like Beal, Kidd-Gilchrist or Barnes.

It would be nice to pick up either a top pg or a pg of the future like Kendall Marshall via trade for a lottery pick. Do we have the assets or a legit shot at acquiring a john wall or rajon Rondo?

I bet John Wall could be had if you really, really, really wanted him, but the price would be pretty steep. Too steep. Interesting idea though.

Re: Trade Wish List
If it was up to most "basketball fans" evan turner would be bust, james harden would be nothing but a decent role player, Nick Young is a useless nucklehead ect... I'm not listening to anyone when it comes to tyreke, I want him and not too concerned on the cost. He's is gonna be a stud once he's in the right situation and will prove that his great rookie season was no fluke.
Jordan Hamilton is another guy we should get now because I am telling you once he gets an oppurtunity, he is gonna go nuts. The price is pretty low on him, he can be had for a steal. Ed davis would be another target I would go after to as a future starter next to favors and that can potentially be have a for a good price. I like Greivis Vasquez also who has been playing really well for the hornet.
In the draft, Marshall is a special player with rare pure pg abilities. If he's gonna come in here, be confident and work hard; he will be big for us (I'm sure he will). LAMB is gonna be a beast and he's everything we need. He can shoot it, get his own shot, can defend, ect... Plus can be had without giving up a lot. Terrance Ross would also be nice since he's a guard with good size that can heal alot of our shooting woes. Tyler Zeller would be a good nick collison type of guy off the bench. jeff Taylor would be a nice defensive wing for us.
There are alot of good options for use that can be had for a steal. We need to think like the spurs who consistently get good value in trades.

At this point I don't really want John Wall. Have you seen his numbers this year on shots not at the rim? Dreadful.

It was literally the worst percentage of all-time, wasn't it?

Re: Trade Wish List
I think that a Wesley Mathews trade is pretty attainable, given that Portland is in rebuild mode.
Steve Nash would come at a high price in terms of cap space, but is also realistically attainable.
With two guys like that we probably become 5th or 6th seed, and make it into the second round for the next few years while Hayward, Favors, Kanter, and Burks develop.
I know that Kirilenko is likely headed to NJ, but adding him at SF is a trifecta.
Mathews and Kirilenko gives us solid perimeter defense, and Mathews and Nash give us solid perimeter scoring.

I'll say this much... I much rather take a chance with John Wall than Tyreke Evans.
JaVale McGee seems to be on the rise since getting on a real team... perhaps Wall could too.
It's the same reason why I'd still love to get either Jimmer or Kemba Walker despite their pretty dreadful rookie seasons. I firmly believe that if they were in a better situation that they could both be great players.

I wouldn't write off Wall's career or anything, but his shooting is concerning -- largely because he says he was taking 2,000 shots per day over the summer.
If he really worked on it and that was the outcome, you have to wonder why. Can't imagine the negative atmosphere of the Wizards locker room could be that detrimental to a jump shot.

I would like us to acquire a nice young pg through the draft or trade. I think Eric Bledsoe could be attained anf I think he would mesh well with our team.
