Is CoCo DFA'd or has he just been demoted as the interim closer?

Still with the team just not closer I beleive
I thought it would have been Frasor but I guess they already learned their lesson there, Santos is still at least a few weeks away, hopefully CJ can handle it

Why not call up Chad Beck? Kid's stuff should be able to survive the 9th inning role until Santos is off of the DL. I'm kinda worried about Jansen closing as well.
Want: Trae Young, Michael Porter Jr., DeAndre Ayton, Jaren Jackson Jr, Marvin Bagley III, Mohamad Bamba, Shai Gilgeous- Alexander, Elie Okobo, Jevon Carter

Well he can't be much worse than Cordero.

It's the right call. CJ has a mess of pitches, which works well in short stints. Other one I would have considered is Perez, but he's so good I'd rather have him available for long relief or spot starts.

I hadn't really considered Perez because of his lack of experience but the more I think about it, I could see him as a guy who could break out in that pressure role. I doubt he got much consideration but he has higher potential than Janssen or Frasor but I guess with the team trying to diminish risk in the bullpen it would have been a pretty questionable.

Yesterday's loss was apparently well worth it. Janssen will be more than fine in this role, I'm sure. He's been the best reliever on the team since 2010.

This move, and dropping of Lind in the lineup, has reignited my desire to watch every Jays game.
