He's still one of the most athletic guys in the league easily but like others said, when he was in Cleveland he was a lot more agile and nimble, now although he's still quicker(quicker than alot of guards) he's very big now(probably pushing 275) so it's harder for him to split defenders and he just bulldozes his way to the rim, which of course as strong as he is it's easy for the refs to call the charge.
Basically it's rare to see him do what he did at 2:54 and 4:15 in Miami

In all fairness to LeBron, his jumper is much improved and thus a weapon he can rely on much more these days. I just think, as I mentioned in my other post, we and he himself kill any opportunity of him posting up properly by having him handle the ball so much and even bring it up for the good part of his time on the court. You can't expect a player to start a play on the wing and then, when establish good post-position with 10 or 12 seconds on the clock while also creating a good shot.
The worst part is, the post area is where we've hurt the Knicks the most. Due to D-Wade's and LeBron's outstanding post-abilities, they either score or New York has to help out, which, in essence, leads to an open shot.

First few minutes of the first video are skippable. Both videos offer a good view of how agile and quick he was. 6' 8" 260 dude was able to split defenders off the dribble to get to the rim.

only watched the 2nd video, and only saw 2 drives to the basket (people seem to think lbj always drove to the basket in CLE)
I saw 1 half drive to the basket where he was fouled.. (notice the 3 3point shooters on every corner)
the other happened in the middle (horrible defense by Noah, not sure what he was doing)

Ehh. I wasn't concerned with how frequently he was driving to the basket. It's against a god-awful Nets team and a pretty weak Bulls team. I posted those to show the difference in his quickness/agility off the dribble, because there was a discussion about how his weight change might be diminishing that.
I know he didn't always drive to the basket in Cleveland. He was a good jumpshooter in his last 2 years, and this gets completely overlooked.

Lebron came into the league at 245 and he his last 3 years in Cleveland he was around 250 to 260 and now he's probably at 270.
He most likely added weight to protect himself as he transitions to to being more of a post player and less explosive. Having muscle is good for you, idk why everybody thinks having muscle means you gonna destroy your knees.
Dude is built and he's never ever ever ever ever ever been injured because he's built. He never even played explosive like Wade or Westbrook did or even Vince Carter. He really was more of a below the rim slasher and a transition dunker. Lebron always looked to get the bump so he never just exploded up in the air and tried to throw it down like Blake Griffin.

Nash would obviously be a dream come true for this team, but playing Wade at the point more could help for now.

Yeah, would love to see Wade on the ball more, in addition to more LeBron/Wade pick-and-rolls this post-season. And after sprinkling a little magic dust, an extra heavy dose of Nash/Wade, Nash/LeBron pick-and-rolls all next season.

I don't feel like he is getting a lot of charge calls against him. Is there any stat somewhere? Would be interesting.
About his weight: was if all this muscles just allow him to never be hurt? He never missed more then 3 games in a row (if I remember right, check it) and boy, this guy is taking a lot of hits. I take the 'less dynamic, older'-today-LeBron any day over avec an 'hypothetical-more-prone-to-injury'-one.
Never looked at it that way... Maybe that's why LeBron put on extra weight/muscle to avoid injuries.

LeBron has never had injury problems. He's a tank and always has been a tank.
As for LeBron posting up, the Heat were extremely effective offensively tonight when LeBron posted up. Had great looks and scored a very high percentage of the time.

Yep. A little more than a cameo, but still not much. Still though, it just proves hes capable of it.

Interesting responses. I'm just hoping to see a lot more LBJ post ups more often moving forward in the playoffs.
I just don't want a repeat of last year in the Finals when our offense went stagnant man.
