I wonder how many Heat fans were true fans before 'The Announcement?
Most jumped off the boat between Shaq and 'The Announcement, so I am guessing maybe 20% of Heat posters are genuinely committed, the other 80% will move on to other teams after the three Ambiguous-Amigos part ways.
I have grown to hate David Stern's experiments as it pertains to marketing the NBA to the masses. Just liken him to the village idiot because what he does is alienate large chunks of fan bases just to appease a select few. This has corrupted the league and rational fans have responded by not accepting the Miami Heat, and villifying LeBron James.
Stern knew the act was wearing thin, and it's why CP3 plays for the Clippers instead of the Lakers. Atleast Stern made the Clippers pay out of the backside for CP3. Now the Magic and Nets should get huge packages for their Stars.
He knows he cannot stack the Lakers or the Heat ever again, without making them pay like everybody else.
