Utah Fans homerism is really embarrasing even more than raptor fans. No one wants harris or millsap unless their getting them for KOC's usual salary dump give-away which is very likely.

Many teams would have interest in Millsap. Not like he's pulling in $15/year.

It's almost as bad as your "everybody sucks and I told you so" routine.

How many times has a team got any good value for an expiring contract w/o any options or agreements and you don't have to give up something else of real value? Gerald wallace is probaley one of the closest but even thats stretching it.
My point it that these type of things rarely happen if ever except in Homerville.

Not sure if this is far fetched or not.
I guarantee there is no interest in Harris. His value has gone down a lot in the last few seasons.
You are wrong on this one. Apparently you didn't watch any Jazz games after the All Star break and the Jazz's push for he playoffs. There will be plenty of interest in Harris, he was a significant factor. It just has to be the right situation for him to shine.

I think Utah is a bad fit for Harris, at least with Al Jefferson as his big compliment. As far as Millsap, the guy is a borderline AllStar. 4th in the league in steals, a leader and a 17/8 guy on a Jazz team with another dominate post presence.
He has more value than Gerald Wallace a player who is a year away from losing his athleticism and ability to perform at a high level in the NBA and yet he garnered the #6 pick, and was supposedly the clinching piece of a failed Dwight Howard trade.
Millsap has a lot more value than people are giving him credit for. I put him up there with David West pre injury in NOLA. West was an Allstar because he was on a playoff caliber team with CP3.

The Gerald Wallace trade was so mind-numbingly insane, though, that it's not a good barometer. Plus, it's worth noting that Portland was the one DOING the fleecing in that situation, not the one making a stupid decision.

You don't have to convince every GM in the league, or even everyone on RealGM; you just need one GM to agree to the deal.

I think he's saying the Blazers have no interest in Harris. While he probably can't "guarantee" that, I think it's most likely true.

Re: Paul Millsap for #6 & #11 and Cash
Paul Millsap is one of the 4 best players in his draft class, and he's locked into an extremely reasonable deal for next year. Any team that trades for him will have his Bird rights for a possible extension. He just got done with a season in which he posted a PER above 20, is a high scoring and good efficiency player who doesn't need plays run for him. A good defender, hard worker and great team player.
That's worth 10m+ per season, and he's getting 7m next year. That's a great bargain, plus he's in the prime of his career and has gotten better every year he's been in the league.
That's a valuable asset. Any team that wouldn't trade the #6 pick for that, based strictly on value, is insane. You aren't getting anything close to Paul Millsap with the #6 in most drafts. The last 5 #6 picks are: Jan Vesely, Ekpe Udoh, Jonny Flynn, Danillo Gallinari, and Yi Jianlian. Only one of which is even a bona fide NBA starter. Paul Millsap>>>#6 pick in almost any draft.
Now, many teams would pass on that trade given the fact that picks allow you to sell hope to an abused franchise, but there is no doubt that Millsap is of greater value to a team than a #6 pick would be, and most NBA personnel guys would acknowledge this if you got them alone in a room.
The trick is finding a team who wants him but has assets that we want. There aren't going to be a lot of those out there. So we probably won't be able to extract his full value on the trade market.

Re: Paul Millsap for #6 & #11 and Cash
Maybe it was already mentioned, but can we trade Millsap to Portland considering he signed his original deal with them? Is there a moratorium that expired that would allow us to do it or is that off limits throughout the lifetime of his contract.

I'm pretty sure there is no restriction on that. I have never heard anything like it.
Would they be interested, though? I can't see it.
