Also, are the rules posted anywhere?
Someone will have to adapt the rules from the past but the basics:
- 13 rounds of drafting
- if you don't pick within the allotted time, you get skipped (the clock starts once the pick is made, so if someone makes their pick at 12:00pm and the time limit is 6 hours, you would have until 6:00pm to make your pick. If you don't and you get skipped, then the next in line has from 6:01pm-12:01am to make their pick).
- if you're skipped you must make up your pick and you may do so at any time
- trades must be announced and agreed to in the discussion thread, then its made official when its edited into the official list of trades and changed in the draft order if applicable
- there will be less time between picks as we move along
- you must draft a coach with one of your 13 picks
- only current NBA players - no international players, college players or D leaguers with no NBA experience (though presumably guys like Andrei Kirilenko, Aaron Brooks, Sonny Weems and Greg Oden would be okay)
- after the 3 rounds, there will be a free agent pickup period where its first come first serve if you want to fill out your 15 man roster
- judging will be based on a sim I think and based on categories such as win-now, most exciting/showtime, best defense, best youth, best salary cap management, etc.
