How is AK a great player. He was good, but I swear it is almost as if none of you watched the last several years he was on the team. Our team has major shooting issues.... let's sign AK!! Yeah... no

Our team also has major playmaking and perimeter defensive issues. AK would be a definite upgrade with the current group.

There are better upgrades out there. Shooter >> All other needs. Plus both the issues you mentioned are more closely related to the Point Guard position

I used to agree with a lot of your posts, but as of late they are unrealistically negative! Bell is not horrific, and AK is a great option at the right price.

Whats the deal? Why are you seeing the glass as totally empty in certain situations?

AK was constantly being judged against a max contract, and I believe that severely altered the perception of his abilities.

I am sorry! I think being out of the season without real games (evidence) to base my opinions off of I'm just kind of pulling them from left, right, and everywhere!

Mostly, the AK thing is entirely a gut feeling I am trying to convey! ... I think it has more to do with his attitude. Or maybe I've blocked out a subconscious bad memory of AK... like him driving in the lane 5-1 and getting stripped (..kidding)

Or I guess in some respects we're bound to disagree? Which is bound to happen I suppose

He was actually still the greatest positive +/- difference guy on the team during his time with the Williams, Boozer, Memo era.

So ya, he is a great player.

I like Andrei but I just don't see how he's really going to fit our future plans unless it's coming off the bench. We need outside shooting and we could find better ones than him, and we need another wing scoring perimeter threat that can create their own shot.

I would take AK in a heart beat. My main worry is about his durability. I would prefer him in a 6th man role though.

Kirilenko open toi signing with Jazz

Last year AK shot 36.7% from three on 98 attempts. That's better than Hayward, Harris or anyone else on the Jazz this year who shot nearly 100 attempts.

This year Raja shot 39% on 87 attempts.

I'd love to have AK on this team as starting SF, backup PF.

We are building a team for the future, not rebuilding a failed team of the past. No AK.

sloan ruined ak when he took the ball out of his hands and put it back into his pg/pf oriented system. corbin, this last year, has tried to imitate that system with players who lack the abilities sloan has had the luxury of working with during his "genius" years. it worked alright. but a player like ak on this same team would have, IMO given us perhaps 3-4 more wins and a 6 seed or higher in this years playoffs. especially with corbin treating the entire season like a preseason and shuffling line-ups and rotations like he did. ak excels in games with little to no structure.

but, KOC wont be going for AK-47 this year. he will be trying to find a player to fit the system corbin is trying to imitate. it will win some games, but never take anybody by surprise and thus win playoff series.

He's welcome as long as he knows his role ( no crying) and gets a reasonable contract.

Hey Jazz fans. After what just happened in the Euroleague Final, I am pretty sure that Kirilenko will be running out of Europe as quick as he can, and taking whatever salary he can get in the NBA.

His asking price just dropped big time. He's probably dreaming of Utah right now.

if he doesn't hurt the cap, he's a great addition. 5mill, 2-3 years.
