I still say leave her. She was thick to begin with and put on 40 lbs at 25 years old. Thats a ton of weight and coupled with being Puerto Rican she obviously has a huge propensity to put on a large amount of weight rapidly. She aint losin it.

Either convert to being a chubby chaser or find a nice skinny Asian chick. If you like thick girls to begin with, this is going to be an ongoing problem for you.

I have this problem in reverse lol I've been with my girl for about 3 years now. I didn't let myself go per se, I was overweight when we met, haven't gained more than 5-10 pounds but I can afford to lose more than a few pounds. My gf on the other hand, who's also half puerto rican, has a ridiculous body, model measurements and she's gorgeous. 

She's like 5'5 120 and I'm 5'6 220. I'm also 22 and shes 4 years my senior. All my friends crack jokes about us as a couple because they say her being with me defies all logic between the age, the looks and the physical condition. I take it all in stride and it certainly doesn't hurt that the sex is just fantastic.

I'm still amazed when I look at her naked then myself. Bless her heart, she must really love me.


And on the topic of gym memberships I got her 1 for x-mas since she wanted to start going lol Realistically I should be the 1 with the membership.

You are obese. You need to lose more than a few pounds to remain healthy. Fortunately, you're only 22 so it won't be nearly as hard, but you need to start today. Not tomorrow. Not after the weekend. Today. No more soda. No more fried foods. Tonight you're going to have chicken breast baked with asparagus. Tomorrow morning you will wake up and go for a walk as early as possible, before breakfast. Tomorrow's dinner will comprise of Grilled Salmon, Almonds and steamed cabbage. Water, Propel, and nonfat milk is all you should be drinking.

Yeah I know the deal. I carry the weight a little better than a normal person of my dimensions but I certainly need to lose the weight. And I wasn't implying I only needed to lose a couple of pounds I said I need to lose more than a few pounds in the 40-50 range at minimum lol

If she's really as great as you say she is, then I'd be working my ass off to get in shape if I were you. Unless you're extremely rich or happen to be descended from royalty, human nature dictates that she'll bore of you or leave you for another man before long if you remain as lazy as you've been.

My approach is (and I've done and felt this way in the past) if a girl is willing to let herself go like that and gain all kinds of weight she must not really love me that much and I'm free to look around. Believe me she'll be all kinds of motivated if she starts seeing you check out skinny chicks. It works 100% of the time unless she really doesn't like you and is trying to look for an out anyway. i once told my girl that she needed to lose 10 lbs and now she is my ex lol. just give her little hints that she is way too fat now by telling her how good she looks in some clothes in her closet that you know for a fact wont fit her anymore , and ask her if she could put it on.

Look... relationships is not just the mental aspect of it, its also the physical part of the relationship. If you just can't deal with it anymore then say something now or dump her. If she is lazy now, what makes you think she will just get up and start jogging?

Fat is not the problem. Lack of motivation is. If you can't get to the root of that problem, then I say let it go.

My wife (who was my girlfriend back then) went from a 5'4 125lb from to a 5'4 145lb frame and she started to get worried and depressed. In the end, the issue was that she hated her corporate job and wanted to get out of her field. I supported her while she went back to school to become a teacher and change her field. Now she's back to her pre-depression frame, she runs half marathons faster than me, and we are on the way to our first anniversary.

Moral of the story, find out why she is not motivated and if there is no viable solution to the problem, then let it go. Some women need a little motivation and some women are just plain lazy. Figure out which one she is before you waste anymore time.

Now be honest- do you have options? Are you honest with her on how you feel or are you afraid of creating ill will or hurting her feelings.

If you have to pretend you're ****ing someone else you aren't only lying to yourself but to your girl as well. This type of thing brings along psychological baggage and it piles up as the weeks, days, months and years pass by.

Live the life that makes you happy and everything around you will start to radiate that same energy. Note that this does not mean disregard consequences. Still gotta deal with them but weigh your decisions, make your calls then don't look back and apologize to anyone.

It's true, Americans are fat. No way around it. I lived in Korea for 3 years and 1 out of 15 kids were obesed.... here.. its everywhere.
